Sirius XM Satellite Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI) is beginning to step up to the plate in their promotional activities. The company has in the past sponsored concerts such as Paul McCartney and Tim McGraw, but the ability for subscribers nationwide to participate was minimal. Now the company has announced that subscribers can get free tickets to a screening of events at the Electric Daisy Carnival.

While a sponsorship of this event does not equate to their very own music festival (a-la iHeartRadio), the company has been a big supporter of it.   The Electric Daisy Carnival features over 150 of the world’s top electronic music artists and 200,000 festival goers which gathered for 2 amazing nights in Southern California.  Now Sirius XM subscribers can experience this extraordinary musical and visual experience on the big screen.  Artists that participated included 12th Planet, Above & Beyond, Afrojack, A-Trak, Benny Benassi, Boys Noize, David Guetta, Deadmau5, Duck Sauce, and many more.

What I like about this event is that Sirius XM is adding to the benefits of being a subscriber.  Hopefully we will see more of this to come.
