howard stern microphone All weekend long the Howard Stern show will open up the archives and feature the most memorable live music performances from the last 25 years of the show. Starting this Friday at 3 PM on channel 101 you will hear not only great music but also commentary from members of the Stern Show and the musicians themselves.

As a fan I have personally heard a lot of these performances over the years and there are some really great performances along with some truly candid interviews. I don’t know what it is about Howard but, the musicians really seem to open up and tell some really good stories as opposed to the cookie cutter type interviews you see in magazines and on MTV. If you have a chance this should be some really entertaining stuff with legends like James Taylor, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, AC/DC, Jethro Tull, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, and Willie Nelson to today’s superstars including Dave Grohl, Alanis Morissette, Sheryl Crow, Counting Crows, and Stone Temple Pilots, among many others.
