Sirius Buzz Radio Launches
Well, we finally pulled the trigger and started Sirius Buzz Radio. Our first segment was aired on April 3rd. This segment is a brief 15 minutes, and did not include callers. We wanted to get used to the system prior to going on to a full show with callers included. So, check out the show by clicking the player located in this article.
One of my goals when I developed Satellite Standard was to be a source of information that was timely, consistent, and of some entertainment or informational value. That continued when Sirius Buzz and Satellite Standard merged. The decision to broadcast Sirius Buzz Radio was not an easy one. The time commitment for a site such as this, while also juggling all that comes my way in every day life seemed to me to be more than enough. Taking on a radio broadcast was a responsibility that I was uncomfortable adding to an already busy schedule. However, after looking into what it would take, I decided to take the plunge. While I can not promise weekly shows, I will try to carve out a segment on a regular basis. Sirius Buzz Radio is a work in progress, and we hope to improve with each additional show.

FYI. Dont see a player located in the article.
Ditto, don’t see the player.
I think this is great. Perhaps some of the interviews you do (such as the one recently with the USE people and past interviews such as the Vinnie interviews) could be via radio feed instead of written transcript? I think that would be a huge benifit for listeners and a huge draw as well.
Great work Tyler. Will listen to the feed as soon as it shows up.
You guys do not see the player at the upper left of the article?
Brian R…
I would love to have guests and conduct interviews on Sirius Buzz Radio. I will try to organize such things, but for the most part, my shows will be aired late in the evening, and this can be problematic for some guests.
Additionally, many interviews I write about are the result of multiple conversations, and dialogue. A live show can sometimes put the interviee on edge, and thus I may not get the level of detail I do when it is not live.
Thanks for the input.
I got the player now.
I can understand how some issues would affect interviews like that. Perhaps just recording the interviews as you do them, edit them the way you want them, and then publish them as non-live information. You seem to get some decently high profile people to talk to you, and I think it would be great to have that on the site, though it would be cool if we could call in and ask the person questions too. =)
Good show, good rundown of the future prospects for the merger.
Would be great to have the call in portion to answer reader/listner questions. I look forward to seeing what else you have coming.
Brian…
I plan to make it listener interactive going forward.
i launched the first show with no promotion prior to going on air. I wanted to ensure that I was using the equipment, etc. correctly
In the future, broadcasts will be announced ahead of time so listeners can participate.
Tyler – You sound great on the radio. Very professional. I think the only way these stocks really move is when Mel gets the combined company free cash flow positive and I think he will quickly.
I really would not be surprised to see the stock tripling from current levels in 2009. It all depends on free cash flow. With 20 million subs by the end of this year I would be shocked if the cash flow numbers don’t start to show. Profitable integration is what Mel has always done.
