Sirius Files Form S-4 With SEC

Sirius Satellite Radio filed a Form S-4 with the SEC today, and the filing has some news services going a bit wild. The Form S-4 is the filing which seeks out shareholder approval on the proposed merger between Sirius and XM via a “special meeting”. The filing contains all of the information relating to the merger for shareholders to consider. It appears that some news services are taking aspects as the report as “new news” and popping headlines across the news wires.

In simple terms, this filing ties to the process where shareholders cast their votes on the merger. It should be noted that the current filing is preliminary.
