As you may know the comment period ended July 9th, and the Reply period ends July 24th. However, the FCC still seems to be accepting and publishing comments. To date, comments and replies total nearly 5,600. The pro-merger comments account for 78% of the total, with the anti-merger camp coming in at 21%.
Position – Long Sirius, Long XM
I saw the article and found some things quite interesting. Trout seems to state that the number of comments does not matter, but it is who is filing the comment that matters. I think that the number of comments matter, who files the comments meatter, but most importantly that the CONTENT of the comment is what matters. A poor argument from an “important person” should not win out over a great argument from an average person.

Some that are not familiar with the sector have simply underestimated the satellite radio subscriber community.
How does M&A Researcher shoot down the opinions of many analysts saying that the opinions mean nothing, and then come out and place odds at 1 in 3? They do not even offer anything to substantiate their 1 in 3 opinion.
Of course there is subjectivity in everything though.
