Is Trade Volume On Sirius XM A Concern?
Over the past couple of weeks Sirius XM has been trading on lighter than normal volume on many days, and today that volume seems even lighter still. Sirius XM volume was an anemic 34.7 million shares! So what does this mean, and should investors be concerned. Well, it appears that we are looking at yet another consolidation point as the equity above support at $1.02 and below a moderately strong resistance at $1.08. Sirius closed the day on the upside, but the weak volume does not let investors go into tomorrow with overwhelming confidence. Being up on weak volume is typically not a bullish sign.
Current Support and resistance levels:
Resistance – $1.23 – weak
Resistance – $1.14 – weak
Resistance – $1.08 – moderate
Support – $1.02 – weak
Support – $0.98 – weak
Support – $0.92 – moderately weak
Support – $0.89 – weak
Support – $0.84 – very strong
Watch the volume when considering these levels. Typically we like to see moves by an equity made on volume. Volume tells the intensity of the move. Low volume means low intensity.

Spencer how do you think this stock will trade for the next couple of days? I think we could see a drop to 1.03 early tomorrow and maybe another bounce towards the end of the day maybe to 1.10.
I see 80 cents coming.
There is no impotence for this issue to go up. they can’tpay their debt, they are still losing money 2 years after the merger and subs are leaving at 6 million per year. This is a failed business plan that can’t be fixed. Game…Set..Match…you missed it. Sorry to hear you bought at $4.00 or above, you got suckered.
Who bought above $4.00? I bought my first SIRI shares at $0.38 and XM shares at under $5.00. Traded for a few years until I started writing. I made my money, and now only maintain a core position that I do not trade because I write about Sirius XM. Did I trade above $4.00. Sure, but I am ahead of the curve by a healty margin.
By the way, the debt is very manageable now, and some is being pre-paid. They have reported two profitable quarters in a row as well.
