fcclogowords.gif With today being the last day for public comments on the proposed merger between Sirius and XM, it is your last chance to let your opinion be heard. As of this writing, the FCC comment site has not been updated to reflect comments flowing in today. There is some speculation that the NAB is planning a campaign of anti-merger comments to be filed in the “eleventh hour”, but without updates from the FCC this activity can not be confirmed.

As of our latest counting, the comments stand heavily in the PRO MERGER camp. Those that favor the merger have tallied roughly 78% of the comments thus far with the FCC. We will update the totals when they become available, and of course will let readers know if there is activity producing a major shift in the percentages on way or the other. Comments for this merger should easily surpass 5,000 and could well get above 6,000.
