Go Bass Go!! It reminds me of "Rudy, Rudy, Rudy!", except Bass isn't a bench warmer like Rudy and I were.

After the brutal summer that we are having here...54 days and counting over 100 degrees...Might just become a summer coloradian! thinking about buying a small piece of property in Southern Colorado! This heat is F...in killing me!

Then, you will be stuck with me!

Anytime....I would live up around where I am, in Parker, or in the mountains. Southern CO is so damn hot and dusty. The wife and I are talking about moving to the mountains. My main objection is for my business, but it could play out well, but would take time to get re-established. She wants to be by water and I can't blame her. I would love to have a house on a river and fish and crank my amps when I want to.

There are so many decisions lately. We have a very informal format in our family. We don't have a weekly discussion or monthly discussion about much of anything. There is never a fight in this household, because we are both adults and make our own decisions, but when there is an important one, I just let it go her way or she lets it go my way.

That is the reason that we have a great marriage. My wife is so respected that it makes me admirable. I don't have it together like she does.

I understand technical things way better than her, but she hasn't had to deal with technical things. She is an amazing woman.

Like Romo said...I wanted to show my wife the charts....same here, that is where it gets off of the track....squares and lines.

I went to the dentist today and got my teeth cleaned..I do every 3 months..I asked him about single pay health care....he literally whispered to me that a bunch of children could run it better, that government health care is a disaster. JFYI.

200lbs. I know...babies compared to where you live...also, the scenery is not so good!

Bill- dont even think about it!!!LOL
hey Sirius!!! Thanks for the invite....I spent a weekend a few years back in your fine state!!! I accompanied my sister down to attend college in waxahatchie.....the temps were brutal....in the 100's the whole time....went back last year during spring break and the temps were better....but they had some crazy rain showers....like someone turned the faucet on....we had to pull off the highway it was so bad.....yeah our animals are a bit bigger than yours, but I've seen the tv shows....they do get big there....but tough to compare any of yours to a 1000lb moose though....I've gotten lucky so far and haven't had to work to hard to fill the freezer....I've got tons of stories....but we'll save them for another day!!!!

BTW....Im so happy for all the long SIRI holders on here...we're finally moving in the right direction...I hope we can keep it up.....Im bummed that I couldnt buy back the shares that I sold off at .51 and .53...it just never pulled back like I thought it was gonna do....but I still hold quite a bit at .13 so I cant complain much!!!

Hoping for some movement on my other positions!!!!!

    Here moosey, moosey......

These two wandered into our back yard last February while we were eating breakfast!!!! She was prego and should have booted her young off this past spring. There are hundreds of them wandering around the Anchorage bowl...so much that they now have an open bowhunting season for the big bulls every Dec.....we get at least one human fatality a year from a car/moose collision....

Hey now...(working on manifesting the Stern Effect)

We've returned from our friend's art show. Actually, a friend of my wife's - tattoo artist that does amazing work that goes beyond the skin. The show was centered around life-size full-body pieces on canvas and watercolor.

It's amazing to dig on such magnificent art! And really, the surreal part is that these artists typically do this on skin - in full body fashion. I don't have the words for it beyond dedication to being...

The primary artist is Aaron De La Vedova - www.gurutattoo.com --

We also had a busy day otherwise...my son had his first Tae Kwon Do test (yellow belt). It didn't go well. He was petrified - scared sh&tless, really. There were about four times the amount of folks that are in his classes & well...it *was* the first test of his life. He stuck through it - didn't cry - didn't leave the mat - stood tall, for the most part.

The other part is that he forget just about everything that we've worked on. Which is fine...just means that we get to work on it again. This time around, let's see if it sticks...

If not, well, we'll do it again...

The other part of my day is that I thought that I'd relate to you guys that I shared a glimpse at where we are with our portfolio. Yes, I showed the wife what our unrealized gains are thus far.

She, unprovoked, picked up a bottle of Captain Morgan Special Reserve for me...having a cocktail now...

    ***

    responding to a few posts..

Greg: Yep, busted...don't you know that you can never run from a Hillbilly?

ImRomo: your research on Poly Paradise was, in a word, Hilarious! And thanks for the spng info.

Dr Dave: You suck. The last thing that I *need* is to have a visual of the Human Carcass Wash in my head...

    ***

Didn't get around to doing my diligence on spng - going to get up early and see what I can get done...thinking I may join you fellas...

    ok. decision time.

I'm not saying that I won't research the sponge_bob_make_me_money stock.

I will say that I spent the evening...and a couple of Captain Morgan Special Reserve's considering my previously made statements.

And what I've decided is that I will not be using Burning Man funds to add to the portfolio.

This being said, I will be in_communicado from 8/31-9/07.

Now it's time to see a man about a camper for my truck!

That is all...and don't any of you 'smart' guys try to talk me out of it.

Okay, please do try to talk me out of it - and please make compelling arguments chock full of data that would make me re-think my decision.

***and with that information, I'll be more able to explain to the wife exactly why I *need* to go into savings

    Ramsey

who is going to strive to NOT log into the internet during the hours of 9:30AM EST and 4PM EST on Friday 8/21/09 because he wants to prolong the tremendous feeling that he has from today's Sirius XM numbers____because if shit hits the fan, he doesn't want to know about it until at least Sunday.

Now that's something that Dr Dave would bet against
