Yup... If it goes over $31 then watch it run to $41.

I never thought I would feel pissed at the low price of oil!
And on another note, Sirius sucks ass once again, right on schedule.

They never get a break. I swear... anytime they have good news, the economy goes into a recession or oil drops by 50% or something happens to take away from the stock and company. Never f'ing fails

Early am and I just checked Siri. I am looking at a 3.60 print. Is this right? WTF? Old Sirius all over again! I suppose we are being greased another Liberty offer!

Yeah, saw that too. happened @ 4:17 am. there was a 3.96 trade as well. The theory would be, with the bookends defined, that is the range they (this particular MM) want to keep the stock until they finish the accumulation. Probably low on shares or trying to fill a larger order.

MM 'signals' for pm/ah trades outlier trades
    100 - I need shares.
200 - I need shares badly, but do not take the stock down.
300 - Take the price down so I can load shares
400 - Keep trading it sideways.
500 - Gap the stock. This gap can be either up or down, depending on the direction of the 500 signal.
    505 - Short on Shares
    911 - Pending News

I have been aware of this idea for years, but can it be proven to be fact? Have you ever observed absolute consecutive movements based on this? For example, there is currently a 300 bid at 3.66. Is that where the sp is heading since it is a take down request?

Good point. I did an article a long time ago about this and I will say that we did see a lot of this "signaling" when SIRI was a penny stock. Man it was fun to watch. Waldo knows too. We watched it like clock work. Remember BDP? I am sure you do too.

I do remember. But I also remember putting it into practice and it did not work out so well. If this was truly an mm signaling system that could be proven to be so, I can only imagine the inevitable legal repercussions.

Nothing concrete, its all mild theory (to me). But there is probably some sort of communication going on. For this one, its probably just a request by one market maker for something, who knows if the others will give them what they want. It could be them just ordering a foot long cold cut combo. The rules holding true all the time I think is the fantasy part, too easy to track.

Market seems dead set on visiting the flash lows of 8/24. Volume is not all that impressive, sort of orderly deflating. VIX seems like its knows whats going on, but does not care.
