Hey User, I could not agree more, re. "getting hooked on a hobby", in fact, I'm guessing I've found more hobbies than most on which to get hooked. If I can only recall them all, I'd begin with Ham Radio in which I was first licensed in 1957, and I still remain active; I've been through model planes, trains, RC cars, sports cars, and sailing vessels(Sailing most of the Caribbean while using Celestial Navigation as my guidance). Golf has been in my blood for 50+ years, including one stint at my own club-fitting/club-building home business. I consider myself an accomplished computer geek and a self-taught amateur investor. I traded my state-of-the-art high-tech road bicycles for my latest splurge into photography, but that was only after I tried kayaking and astronomy.
I'm heavily invested in fly fishing, including custom rod building and fly tying........ Somehow, I feel I'm leaving something out; not sure what that could possibly be except maybe my wonderful wife, three kids, and 5 grandkids, the fist of which entered college this year............. Sounds like I could make a pretty good list of new threads for this forum.

Maybe i misunderstood beehaus...but he did say he was willing to give you 4pts.
I was overly optimistic and was giving 4. good thing user didn't take it.

Ugh. What a miserable showing by the Skins. Without the run game they have nothing. Tough being a DC sports fan...

Wow, and I thought I had a lot of varied interests. Skiing, Sailing (like you..built my own laser), windsurfing (shaped my own boards and taught), rock climbing and mountaineering (in my much younger days), Golf , Road biking, Running, Swimming.....now I mostly just cut the lawn and golf.
I agree we could make many new forums but who has time for switching back and forth? Nothing wrong with sharing personal interests in the downtime between siri related stuff.

Investing in SIRI is like going to war....It's mostly mind numbingly boring interspersed with moments of pure terror and adrenaline (or so I hear...never served so I don't want to give the impression that performed that honor)

Beginners luck on my part Beehaus. I took a wild ass guess on the game and as far as the point spread thing goes, well I won't even pretend to start to understand that. Best advice my old man ever gave me was "don't place bets on another man's game"

You're scaring me a little bit with the photography jargon. I think you know a lot more than I do about it. I just started really getting into it last year. I have downloaded Lightroom but haven't played much with it. I am tinkering around with the settings as I take pictures to learn how things work and what they look like under different settings/environments. It's really a lot of fun. There are some wild turkey that come out from the nature preserve around 7:30am. I am hoping to catch them this weekend. I will post some pictures if I get some. Personally, I would love to see your photographs! Thanks!

I've used DSLRs since they first came out but never was a serious shutter bug until a year ago when I got the 7100 and a broad assortment of lenses, fancy tripods, studio lighting equipment, and the usual constant search for accessories, camera bags, etc.

Primary focus has been exotic birds, seascapes, and hopefully this coming Sunday night a chance to capture a Super Lunar Eclipse which doesn't occur too often. In fact I've spent most of this week pouring through online articles to learn the absolute best setup using a 500mm lens and certain variations of shutter speed, White Balance, Apature settings, and exposure bracketing. If lucky, I'll post a shot or two on this thread next week.... Oh before I forget, take a look at Adobe LightRoom for your post processing.

Now for my comment on SIRI: based on early futures numbers, I am somewhat optimistic to see a nice resurgence today. Time will tell.

I liked your moxie in believing in your team that much! Fortunately for you, you offered it to somebody who did not realize the value of what you put on the table lol. Was funny!

No reason to leave just yet. Not much going on in this market. Sirius XM continues to buck the trend. Up, down, up, down... It's not going anywhere right now. Enjoy the forum!

That was quick. Same as yesterday, SnP 1930 needs to hold. 36.16 in JNK. Both important to close above.
