It would be so easy to use the big G.

Hand reaching for the mouse... slap...stop it!

Sleep will be hard tonight; maybe if I sneak to the computer no one will know. SL will know. Crap!!!!!!!

    Finale.

Okay, this is the last of my pleadings. I promise.

If only one person would respond letting us know why there aren't any more contributions I would appreciate it. PM your friends to get a group view.

I really wanted to learn and hear different views both supportive, if any, and critical too.

    Thanks anyway.

Now back to our regular programming.

    Sad.

I'll give you the line. It doesn't appear overly googlable.

"I have a hell of a sense of humor, don't I corporal Briggs?" of which Briggs responds "yes, sergeant". One of the funniest movies of all times. Watching the limited You Tube clips made me youthful again.

If you want to go on my behalf, please, I'll make the arrangements. The presentation is already made. Piece of cake provided you can stay awake for 10 hours of discussion on electronic components for solar panels.

Weather here in Michigan, high today 51. Clouds giving way to
sunshine later this afternoon. Holding off, at least for this week,
    the dreaded S word.

Sooooo, what is everyones plans for Thanksgiving? Me, you ask?
Well, for the first time I will be making the turkey. Up until now
I was the one walking in with the store bought pie and sitting down.
Somehow the words Turkey and Julie were thown out there, and
although I protested, (actually whined) couldn't get out of it.
So I have been assured by mom she will be standing by, baster
in hand, ready to jump in at the first sign of disaster.

    How hard can it be?

    Julie

P.S. Just realized I have 3 more posts to reach the 1,000 mark.
So if we can keep this TurkeyTalk going it may well be today
I reach that prestigious honor. Then the prizes began to arrive.

Basically. Get yourself a 5 gallon bucket / lid (Ace has them). The simplest brine is indeed salt water, but some recipes call for herbs, peppercorns, sugar.... Just google turkey brine, and always trust info from the Food Network. In fact, they now have a monthly magazine, and the thanksgiving issue is on the shelves.

Put it into the bucket the night before and put it in the garage. The salt causes the meat to absorb water (or so they say).
