I love it ...stock picks with humor ... A PR service with grammatical accuracy and perhaps even sophistication ...

The QASP PR today ... Boy, I don't know. Great that they purchased another plane but I am having difficulty reconciling this as 'news' with multi-million dollar acquisitions in the pipeline ... I don't know, maybe it's just a penny thing or an appeasement to the shareholders ... "Give them something dammit". But the PR itself, hmmm.

Man, I sure sound like I am more skeptical than is warranted. Still ... oh boy, here's the word ... 'believe' in this company, whatever that means ...

I'm ready for the one day cruises, if I could just get my lost luggage back first ...

    Hi Tib,
I posted earlier about what a guy on the hub had said.
He says he emailed the CEO and recieved an email back stating that the planes were purchased in order to be in compliance with requirements to be certified by the FAA to train foreigners to be pilots. The response email stated that they need 3 specific types of planes, that they had one of the types, and this purchase fulfilled the other two types.

Just speculating...but if FAA certification is part of these acquisitions being completed, then purchasing the planes was a very good and necessary thing.

Thats just me thinking out loud. Of course, we dont even know if the email is real. But it sounds to me to be logical.

Once they actually put a price tag on the wind farm development...I'll jump back in. Made 10-11% in a week on my initial buy, regardless.

    Green Star Files Audited Financials

Green Star Alternative Energy, Inc. (Pink Sheets: GSAE) (“GSAE” or the “Company”) (http://www.greenstarae.com) announces that the Company has completed its audited financials for the period ending June 30, 2009. This complies with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requirements for fully reporting companies. In addition, Green Star continues progress through the Form 10 filing process, which upon completion will provide the Company a capacity to seek a listing on the OTC Bulletin Board – a regulated quotation service that displays real-time quotes, last-sale prices, market depth and volume information for over-the-counter securities.

Mike Andric, CEO of Green Star Alternative Energy, stated: “Green Star is committed to increasing the Company’s exposure to the investment community through a listing on the OTCBB. This will broaden ownership and enhance shareholder value.”

    About GSAE

Green Star Alternative Energy is an environmentally conscious, renewable energy company working to develop more than 300 MW (megawatts) of clean electricity through wind energy. The corporate revenue model is two-fold: the use of a renewable resource allows not only for the creation of environmentally friendly energy, but the granting of carbon (greenhouse gas) emission credits which may be traded and sold. Green Star is pursuing a significant opportunity to provide clean energy to the growing Republic of Serbia and neighbouring European countries. Through a joint venture with key wind farm and power trading company Notos, Green Star will become the nation's first developer of wind power. GSAE is focused on green technology and sustainable energy programs like wind turbines, hydro electric power generation, and other renewable electricity models.

I have thought of that more than once...I wonder what the legal requirements are to open a site that does picks. There has to be some gaff involved or there would be 100,000 more than there are.

Good Morning Sandy and Everyone Else,

Pocket Picking 101 demands that you have the time to watch the screen at least 5 minutes out of every half hour. Then the trick is to pick on a stock that you know SOMETHING about.

    Example...

We know QASP. We know that it is bouncing between .014 and .018 daily. Buy 50,000 shares when it hits .0146 and sell them at .0168, you make a hundred bucks. This can be done at least once a day. But, if you have the time, you might be able to do it twice a day. And this all depends if you have a portfolio worth 25K or more and it's set up with your broker to daytrade.

    That's how it's done!

And then every now and then, you get stuck. Like when you buy at .0146 and it sinks to .0114, you may have to hold for awhile. But, if you know the company, and you trust it, you can hold for a week or two and get your money back. That's why I prefer to do this with bigger stocks like Wendy's, or Sprint, or JetBlue. These are all 4 or 5 dollar stocks, so you only buy 1400 shares at a time and let them rise 7 cents and voila, you make a hundred bucks. It they sink, that's ok, they're good companies, they'll be back!

    Good luck Sandy!
    Chuck

    IOVE, the Italian Oven Company,

Keep an eye on this one and read up on it a bit. It may be one to jump on for a short ride today. I missed it yesterday, no guts, no glory. But, I think it might rise again today.

Hey Chuck, thanks for the primer. I have been watching QASP and you guys comments on the stock. I'm gonna tinker with it today.

I don't have the opportunity right now to do the day trade thing, I'm more of a 'swinger' type guy right now, but I think the same principles apply, correct?

It's ALMOST exactly the same. Buy low, sell high. Here is a difference though. In swinging, you have to hold for a couple of days sometimes. So, you want to make sure that you're not investing in a Penny Stock that is only on a few hour or one day run. That's because if it runs up today and you don't sell it. It may drop back below your original buy in price and NEVER get back up again. I really like the two or three day swing trades with solid companies. You pretty much know where the bottom is on those, so it's hard to get badly burned if you can wait it out till they rise again in a week or two.

    QASPing

    Good morning all ...

    QASP updated their site ...

    http://www.quasaraerospace.net/

    Better ... still amateurish and, and, and;

Quasar Aerospace is a multi-faceted aviation company focused on excellence in its principal businesses - aircraft and component design and manufacture, and flight training.

    First focus on grammar.

The cut and paste plane with the blurry background, truncated stock quote and wing ... Come on.

    Speaking of grammar, yesterdays PR;

"As we are aware that the 6 acquisitions are also at the forefront of our shareholders minds based on the amount of phone calls and emails received. We do want to advise that we are rapidly progressing on these fronts and there will be updates forthcoming as appropriate."

This is either cost savings (Do it yourself style) or ... I don't know what. Certainly is a contradiction to "excellence in its principal businesses".

My suspicion meter is going up every day that this drags on, yet I certainly want to be proved wrong about it. Reading through the BS on the shrub, the hope-mongers and the fear-mongers, somewhere in-between it all is the obvious amongst the speculating.

On the one hand there was a fairly well articulated, 'historical' analogy made with SPNG - A driving down and shaking out of weaks hands before the 'big run'. One possibility. The other, from the nabob's of negativity, is the real possibility that these acquisitions are just a ruse, the implication being that the flight school is the only business here and a future PR may well be something on the order of "Due to _____ the acquisitions fell through after _____ declined to join our merry band of Aerospace associates. But the flight school is robust and generating blah, blah, blah ..."

(Disclaimer - The suspicion meter isn't the only thing going up apparently. )

On the flip-side - I have been stealthily doing my little bit to just get some info out there on G o o g l e under the qasp heading. The 'Quasar' guy is your's truly. Made a mention a bit back about this, but no personal comments, no discussions with the spamming minions, just trying to bump them and bury them where I can.

Disclaimer #2 - I will be buying again at .014ish if given the opportunity. My strategy is to get the avg. down, hopefully get the initial investment out and the free shares ... whatever, long, short, PR driven ... real numbers would be nice.

    End of rant.
