Universal Detection Technology’s Border and Zone Security Systems Partner Nominated as a Semi-Finalist in European Global Security Challenge

LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Universal Detection Technology (www.udetection.com) (OTCBB: UNDT), a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats and provider of counter-terrorism consulting and training services, reported today that its partner in the development of border and zone security sensors, Precision Sensors Instrumentation (PSI), has been nominated as a semi-finalist in the 2009 European Global Security Challenge.

The Global Security Challenge (GSC) is a central hub for security innovators, startups and investors that hosts events around the globe. The GSC aims to empower entrepreneurs in the security technology space and run the leading business plan competitions to find the most promising security and defense startups in the world. In 2009, PSI submitted a proposal for its Passive and Remote Border Security Control System to the GSC European competition, and it was chosen out of several hundred as one of the semifinalists.

PSI adapted one of today’s most sensitive seismic sensors into an ultra-sensitive position sensor. The sensor remotely detects intruders into a security zone by detecting the unique seismic signature they produce either on foot or by vehicles. The sensor is also designed to be totally passive and undetectable and can function without the need of line of sight visibility. The sensor can optimally be used for border protection or the physical security of a perimeter such as an army base or a port.

The U.S. Border & Perimeter protection market is expected to be one of the fastest growing market segments in Homeland Security. According to Homeland Security Research Corp’s (HSRC) landmark research, 2007-2011 U.S. Homeland Security (Government & Private Sectors) Market Outlook, this market is expected to accumulate to $13.9B between 2007 and 2011. The market demand is composed of both Government and Private sectors, with the majority of the growth coming from the Federal Government.

“The nomination from the European Global Security Challenge is the second time PSI’s technology has garnered international recognition,” said Mr. Jacques Tizabi, UNDT’s Chief Executive Officer. “PSI’s Passive and Remote Border Security Control System is one of the most sensitive in the market,” he added.

More information regarding UNDT can be found at www.udetection.com or via email at info@udetection.com.

It depends whether the logos are on their jock straps or their practice jerseys.

As far as the football....I guess you could clean your grill with it.

My son is home from school today -- he decided that it was a good idea to yell at a friend, yesterday, to the point that the friend cried. So, today, I'm allowing him the opportunity to realize the difference between a day spent doing letters in his room rather than a day with his friends funny how he wasn't pleased when I let him know that I could find other ways to spend the money that we spend on his school

He says - to my wife - "Mama, Papa says that I'm not going to college...and that makes me sad".

Mama: "Son, your father said that doing well in school was your choice - that if your goal is to do well in college, it starts with learning how to listen and be nice in school"

Son: "well, I don't want him to spend my college money"

Yeah, he's four. So, it's not exactly like I'm over concerned about college just yet. He does attend a reasonably progressive school @ my alma mater -- which is why college comes into the conversation -- lots of PhD wanna be and soon_to_be's do research there --- so there is a lot of questions from the kids about what it's like to be in college & why it's important.

    ...we get our money's worth...

    It's fun being a Papa

PS: I warned you guys (and Julie, Too) that I was country - shoulda guessed that I'd be long-winded...[/QUOTE]

Fun reading Ramsey. Keep up with the stories. Nice break from all this stock talk.

It's easy to set up a margin account as long as you have a good credit score.
And there are no clearing or waiting restrictions as long as you have 25,000 dollars of stock or cash in the account.
I am able to trade in and out of stocks as many times a day as I can possibly do without any problems at all. I don't have to have cleared cash in the account to do this.

Example....buy 100 shares at 1 dollar. You have to have 107 dollars in the account to do this. And then you can sell that stock in one minute and use that 107 dollars plus whatever profit you have and buy more stock immediately. And you can do that over and over and over again.

That's how it is at Scottrade. Now, the one problem with Scottrade is that they have certain stocks they won't let you buy. It's only about a hundred or so, but several of the ones that people trade here are on that list.

    I hope this helps,
    Chuck
Yes it does, thank you and everyone who chimed in for the info. I currently do not have 25K in assets yet. I only started trading in Feb, with about 8K and currently I have not got back to even yet, down about 2K. Once I get near even I will probably open a margin acct, sell off some of that junk and use that 3 round trip trades per 5 days deal. First I just need bcle and behl to go up alittle bit. I'm ok with losses but if mglg doesn't come back, and it prbably won't, that will be my biggest loss, about 90% of my losses currently

Thanks Julie...It means a lot to me, knowing that it's 'okay' to relate & share tidbits here -- it's refreshing to be sociably civil, in the midst of the chaos that is monetary.

It's my belief that the fundamental core of this forum is of good will, intention, and folks that are secure in their person. This lends a welcoming that is quite wonderful.

    So, yes, thanks again...
