hey guys, nice day for you asfx'ers.....one day maybe I'll gt to see what that's like

I'm going to sound very dumb here but bare with me I'm still learning but, two pages back Bill posted EOD L2 for miggle with a favorable comment (I think it was "ell, well, well"). Then MR. The Tree said something to the effect of a possible uptick for tomorrow. My question is with the sells @ 200k and the buys @ 45k why would that point to a possible uptick tomorrow?? It looks like many more people are trying to sell than buy so wouldn't the pps drop. Can someone explain the simple thing I'm probably missing here. I'm still new at this so please don't laugh too hard

    Geek,

I said, "Well, Well, Well", because I was impressed that it finally did something. I am not projecting an uptick. Tomorrow could be really critical (of course I have to work). If it holds, it would be better than falling back again.

As far as more sells -vs- buys.....there were, but it held.

I don't know if you watch live charts or not....if not, then it would be a damn good idea. I use the MACD. It shows you where the stock is heading. In combination with volume indicators on a live chart a guy can get a good idea where things are shaking out.

You can do this all on one computer, but with pennies, my L2 doesn't work to full capacity on Scottrade Elite. Consequently, I have to use the L2 from the spoke to see all the MM's on these stocks.

I use two computers...one for L2 and posting and the other with a live chart with the MACD and volume.

If some of that makes sense, then good, if not please ask all the questions that you have and we will be more than happy to answer them.

I hope you are having a great night!

    Bill

Thanks Bill, I am having a good night!! Sorry I misunderstood your post I referred to. Sometimes it's hard to understand the "tone" of ones comments when reading them, obviously I was wrong.

I do use Elite and your right, it's not good for pennies. Also during the day at work I only have 1 pc so jumping from place to place and getting work done is not practical so I just watch the streaming quotes. BTW, nice magic tricks!!!

Um, wouldn't *that* be RC Cola and Moon Pies?

Well, you could fib a little and tell the postman that the possum isn't "liquid or hazardous". OR, you could use dry ice and send 'im FEDEX

In case it's not obvious, I'm completely kidding...

Before becoming a globe-trotting RockStar, I grew up in West By God (until 15) catching craw dads and going "froggin', among other things. Many of which my mother never learned about.

I am planning on sending you a slice of West Virginia in return. As soon as I figure out *exactly* what that is made of, I'll let you know.

Great, thanks Dave - now the guys are going to expect more from me

Since being in this thread, I have noticed that you have maintained your position to only post every once and a while your response to my post is what "777" - nice!

Seriously - now you guys know who has been "mentoring" me. I've been trying to get him to start a blog and consult gig on the side.

He's been nothing short of amazing when it comes to sharing & teaching!

Thanks on the tricks. I make my own. I used to be pretty well known for creating illusions (small ones). I have been featured in Genii Magazine (The Magician's top monthly magazine). So much for the bragging...

    To everybody -

Please ask questions...any questions that you have about anything...we will be more than happy to try and answer them. Our thread is fortunate to have a bunch of really knowledgeable people here. This includes lurkers. I am really happy to see more lurkers come out of the woodwork.

The whole purpose of this thread is to help each other, encourage each other, and sometimes go through the crap with each other and hopefully to make some money. If you can do pennies and succeed, then the regular market is a lark.

I, personally, like every person in this thread. There is not one person that I don't like. That is a first for me in any thread or forum anywhere. The advantage that we have is that we are a "team", instead of adversaries. This is a very unique online experience for me and I am very happy to share information with anybody and everybody, so if there are any questions, just ask, because somebody should know something. Rant, rant, rant...lol

    Bill

    The history of this thread

Since I have had four shots of whiskey, (in my big shot glasses) I will tell you the history of this thread. See what happens when you are not posting? Lol.

I was into SIRI and wanted to differentiate from the Intraday with SIRI. It felt like we didn't really have a place to discuss anything else. Not everybody is just into one stock, though a lot of people were at the time and may still be.

As time went on, I decided to start a new thread. It was under the forum heading of "Other Satellite News", or something like that.

Newman was the moderator at the time and he accommodated us here. He would change the thread title each week to "Daily Market Watch for xx/xx/xxxx".

At the time there were 5 of us...Ray, Tony (Sworntofun), Dread, Tripps, Romo (very occasionally) and myself. I used to post things about the general market, because that is what we were into.

Well, Ray, Tony and I started day trading on stocks everyday on GMAIL talk and almost let the thread die.

I was befuddled and came back here, because I felt that the owners and moderator (Newman), had given us so much slack that I felt bad.

Eventually we all showed back up.

Newman left and we were on our own. I had a few conversations with Charles and he changed the "Other Satellite News" to "Market Thread". He and i talked....VERY little and got me set up. He has never made a comment to me since...not a word, except that he may buy one of our wild-ass stocks.

Today, we have a fine thread and a sharing by a good strong team here. I feel a lot of accomplishment with it, because I know that if I left today, that it has the strength to carry on because of the fine and highly educated stock people here.

I enjoy helping people, but there are a lot of times that I need reassurance.

It is good...and it is tough sometimes...but what the Hell, it is the market.

Would you be from the South? Little Debbie's Moon Pies are big there. Froggin is another southern sport. I love frog legs. They almost taste like Chicken.

    I also love fresh Catfish.

When I was in Arkansas for a couple of weeks, I ate Catfish, soybeans and cornbread deep-fried in grease. It was sensational! The people that I stayed with were a trip. They were Pentecostal. I had to go to church with them 3 or four times a week. I walked into the Church and people were on the floor writhing and banging into walls and speaking in tongues. All of the sudden the preacher with a handkerchief stopped and asked my name. I said my name was, "Bill". Every time we went after that, he would yell out, "Hey, welcome Brother Bill!". It was really cool. I was into it. I am just glad that they weren't passing around rattle snakes.

I have to say that I never felt the presence of God like that again in my life.

OT--I am planning a possible trip to Anchorage next June with the wife and kids, to run the half marathon up there. I've been to AK...but everybody else has not.
Depending on how BEHL does in the coming month or two...we could very well be taking a trip to your hometown next spring/summer. If so...we will definitely have to meet up, drink a few, tell stories, etc.

If BEHL goes past .20...you can just pencil us in on the calendar as of that very day.
Hey Greg, the Mayors Midnight Half Marathon is a great race, Ive run it twice!!!!

Come on up, Anchorage is a beautiful place in June. The flowers are in full bloom, sky is blue (most of the time) and the weather is mild. We could fire up the BBQ and let the kids play, share some stories, heck maybe get a fishing trip in as well.
