    Agreed!!
Sean I like you but you need to think straight.
The market is full of very smart guys, all of which are trying to TAKE YOUR MONEY!!
Mom is right. Pay for school first.

Sean, I know you are young and ambitious but there are some savvy and wise 'elders' here .. I am not quite one of them, short of being older. Get one thing into your head and save yourself some future pain - Don't play games with your money and as far as it is possible keep yourself OUT OF DEBT!

To my knowledge I had no idea this is what you were doing - It is foolishness - Going into debt to play in the market? That money is for your damn education son, what, you would rather suffer and become less intelligent? You think it's just a matter of hitting that home run and all will be well? It's a fine line between investing and gambling ... You are gambling with house money - The adage is "Do not invest what you can't afford to LOSE".

And you cannot afford it ...

lol i might have exagerated a little, i actually just graduated but i still do have student loans.

luckily i've been able to find work with the enonomy the way it is, so if i do lose it all it'll just set me a week or two behind. Looking at where bcle was a few months ago.. its like to good to be true if it goes up again..

i hope bcle/mglg do good, i think the risk is worth the reward.

    Sean,

Don't ever play with borrowed money. You Mom has every right to be pissed. Listen to Tib's first post. He knows what he is talking about. Listen to Shots, as he is a Doctor and he knows what he is talking about. Listen to me, I have a Master's degree. Get your expenses taken care of first and never go in debt if you can possibly avoid it. We all want to see the best for you.

I realize that you are younger and enthusiastic. Never lose your enthusiasm, but take care of your priorities first. This is probably one of those good lessons in life for you. Put on the brakes...clean up your mess and then move on in the right direction.

    Today in the Market

Well, hopefully we will have a better day. At least MGLG held yesterday and hopefully it does today also, or even goes up.

I am waiting for my new powder to clear, so I am on the sidelines today and besides that I have to work, so I hope everybody does great.

Help each other out and have a groovy day!

    IPhone

I have to check out the IPhone or whatever here as soon as possible. Thanks, Shots and guys for the info on that. I am going on vacation in September for a week and will have to have something by then, so I have to get it done. My mom's 486 just won't cut the mustard. Not to mention her "dial-up" internet connection.....geez....

    One More Thing

One more thing..don't forget, if you own BCLE and get a chance, post once or twice on the Spoke in their discussion forum so we can get more interest built up. Just a thought.

    Have a great one!

i got the bajesus kicked outta me!!

    go stock market go lol
Ill go opposite for ya as everyone else...I was putting all my cash to pay off debts (because thats the right thing to do right?) but then I was getting into more debt because I had no cash. Ugly battle. Since then I've let the credit card slide a little, I pay $100 over the minimum and it will be paid off in 15 months. I have more cash in hand now and I live within my means and don't carry a credit card anymore.

You need to invest, pay off debt and spend cash only. Spread it out and live a happy life. Its when you lean too far one way or another that you get stress.

Start a mutual fund that you put $50 or so in every month (more if you can) but never touch this just let it build.

Make sure your bills are paid (bad credit will absolutely murder you)

Make minimum payments or a little more than minimum and live within your means of the leftover cash.

If your making too much money or have such little bills that your spending cash wildly, then invest in stocks.

The best advice is the stock market is a place to gamble and hopefully smartly build wealth, but you have to be prepared to lose it all, so have all your other bases covered (bills, cash)

Put $50 a month into savings, more if you can and buy a CD when you have $2500.

Pretend you are a squirrel and stash money everywhere! (in interest bearing accounts of course)
