    Dread,

sounds great. I will be looking forward to your post. Of course I already have way too many sites bookmarked that sometimes I get lost. But always interested in new information.

    For those just starting out . . . .

I have a couple of binders that I keep current info in on stocks that I own and ones that I am researching for possible future investing.

I used to keep it all on my computer . . but somehow I find I like actual paper and folders in my hand when i am doing my thinking and pondering.

I try not to throw anything away that I have researched in case later, much later it comes up again or someone makes a reference to it. I can then refresh my memory on it. Even if I did not invest in it... it is good to see what I had found.

When I do research, I have a check sheet that I go down and that way I know where to go and what to search for as I gather information. If I don't stay on my check sheet I can get set off in other directions and never really gather the info I was trying for. There are so many interesting side notes you can get distracted fairly quickly.

I also have a scratch sheet for writing down information or stocks that I want to follow up later. This can fill up fast and many times I don't even get to follow up with all the stuff I write in my scratch sheet.

Now these current sub-pennies and pennies. You have to do a lot of due diligence (research). You have to find a company with a REAL product that will sell. Take MGLG for instance. They have products - Gas and Oil. BCLE has products and they are a Disabled Veteran Certified Corporation that has products and has a bidding advantage that is huge on Government contracts. Plus they are partnered with a company that puts new pipelines in existing pipelines in cities and so forth.

About losing the house. Never invest more than you can afford to lose in any stock. Never take away from money that you must have. I know that you know that. Personally, I just took money from my business profit (a portion of it and use that), however, I don't put money in anymore. I just use what I have in there now to do trading with. I make a profit and re-invest it. In short order you will not have to put any more in.

Penny and sub-penny stocks are volatile and risky. That is why you really have to check a company out.

I find that the best thing to do is find some people, like here, that have been around and take a lot safer and profitable chances. Don't listen to people in chat rooms. They are pumpers and dumpers.

Learn with the people that are making money and you will fall into the groove. Ask lots of questions here. We will answer them.

In general, a great book for learning is Stan Weinstein's Secrets for Profiting in Bull and Bear Markets. It is a real education.

I hope that helps and ask lots of questions

    Hey Bill:

Thanks for the feedback. Siri was one of my first plays--very good training wheels! You know I'm kidding about the house....plenty of equity here with taxes/dues paid up through end of year...lol.

I'm learning/training with 'play money' with the intention of building my portfolio more aggressively than with blue chips, 401k, Roth. Those are stuck in limbo until the economy rebounds (many moons from now IMHO). I've made some decent money with small numbers of shares in Citi (C), Ford (F) when it was under 2 bucks, EVII and BFR, both recommendations from another site

The only stinker I've encountered is Siri..hopefully patience will be rewarded...or I might just get fed up, sell the crap and buy more BCLE, MGLG and BEHL which are all great stocks.

Thanks to all for the posts. The frank discussion and honest opinions make this the best site...IMO!

Everybody have a great weekend and let's make some money next week!

    Hey Tony!

It is great to see you becoming more active again. I know the whole story..a guy just gets tired. Anyway, we are into some pretty goovy stuff here now and it is a lot of fun. Remember when we first were getting into pennies? lol It was a complete mind-***k!

Now we have a good handle on them and they pay big.

The boats are always great. How many times have we owned them? I can't even remember now. They thing is getting them at a great price. The boats are some of the best stocks in the world, as you well know.

If I could get them below a dollar, I would just throw them in a drawer. FREE was at .65 in March and I didn't buy it then because it was too cheap (that shows you what a Knot-head I am). The next day it went to .95 and I thought it was too expensive. Live and learn.

It is great to have you back.

    Hey Sandy -

I was wrapped up, as many other people, in financials and Ford and such. I fell into a pattern of buying them and then selling too cheap, so I didn't really make a ton of money with them.

I remember one day, Tony had BAC?? if I remember right and Ray, he and myself were trying to find an exit point for him and we had him put a stop limit in. The stock fell back and sold, then it took off again and went big, so Tony got screwed out of a ton of money. All of the stocks a few months ago were so volatile, but we were playing them like an instrument. We were all selling way too soon and just buying and flipping. Now if I had my head screwed on straight, like I hopefully do now, I would have held.

MGLG is a holder. Many people flip it at the first chance that they have to take profit, but they will get locked out. That is what happened to me last time with OCNF. I sold at 1.60 and counted on a pullback. Well, it hasn't happened since. A lot of times it is better to just hang on and knock the day trading off for a period of time. MGLG has a big float. 17 Billion shares? It takes volume and news to drive it, but lately the news has been good and more is coming out, plus the new wells. Everybody is just holding shares now and buying more before the production numbers come out. That is why the volume has been low the last couple of days. The price is holding and going up about a tick a day.

BCLE is a holder. The float is 30 million shares. Now that is just perfect for driving up prices once something happens. To anybody reading this, go back through this weeks thread and read the emails between the President of BCLE and myself.

BEHL, I won't express any opinions as I don't have any. It is quite volatile right now though, but it has a very small float, which causes volatility.

I really believe in sharing everything with everybody, because it just makes us a better community. I love honesty!

I will try and get the list together this weekend!!!

    Hey Jim!

Happy Father's day! Your last line about same sex partners and left wing wackos is too funny!

We appreciate anything that you can contribute. I just ordered Glenn Beck's new book "Common Sense" and Mark Levin's "Liberty and Tyranny" for my Dad for Father's day. He will love them. For his birthday I sent him an autographed copy of Dick Morris's book "Fleeced" and another one or two that I cannot remember. Oh ya, a couple of Marine Corps history books. Lol, everybody can tell that I am a real lib now

I hope that you have a great weekend and look forward to your posts!

I pray for the demonstrators in Iran to overthrow the government there.

I really thought MGLG would do a little better on Firday . . . but I guess it took the Friday Dip...not unusual for a lot of stocks.

But I do expect it to bounce on Monday and finish @ .0020 or .0021

There is too much interest and momo on this one. Not to mention lots of good news that we have already read and yet to be heard.
