OCNF earnings coming up! Got any clue!! Question...does the DBI tend to be forward looking...meaning shipping rates increasing before overall market changes direction?
Talk to you guys later!
I couldn't find shit.Q for a worksheet, so had to do individual research. For tomorrow to keep an eye on or whatever, and please comment on them is:

Now for the second part:
SEATTLE, May 15, 2009 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Cell Therapeutics,
Inc. (CTI) (Nasdaq and MTA: CTIC) announced today that, as previously discussed
in a press release on February 27, 2009, it is closing its Bresso, Italy
operations and has reached agreement with the employee union on a severance
package. The agreement relates to a reduction of CTI's total headcount in Italy
by 56 positions in the immediate months, and is expected to save CTI
approximately $14 million in annual operating expenses moving forward. The
Bresso facility was used for pre-clinical research and was underutilized due to
CTI's focused business model on late stage development and commercialization.
CTI will continue to assist in searching for career opportunities for the Bresso
employees. CTI also continues to support the employee's efforts to establish a
local management buy-out for the facility but the closure of the facility and
operations will start May 18, 2009.

The boats have to move to make the countries move to make the world move.
I think that the earnings don't matter much with drys. They are necessary and don't run on the market here in the U.S.. They are not American owned, thank God! They are principally Greek owned.
I think from last quarter they will be weak to medium, and will report having to pay out 600 million shares of stock and that the stock has lost blah blah blah per share, but they are not going anywhere. That is why I love them!
They are totally different than U.S. Stocks on the exchange because the BDI doesn't have speculators. It works solely off of prices of shipping contracts.
Hope that helped, if not, then ask further questions...use question code "QXLAB" for a free 30 day trial! You credit card won't be charged within the first 23.75 hours....to cancel call 917-432-229
Have a great night! I am so out of here!

I am sorry, I was bloviating. People swear, including top analysts, that the dry shipping stocks preclude the market which precludes the economy. I believe that myself. Without raw materials for manufacturing (and the drys serve lots of countries - principally China) the world comes to a halt. That gives reference to supply and demand which is a commodity. Commodities rule the world.
The dry shipping stocks, in my opinion, are a stock and a commodity. They are the only stocks that I know of that can proclaim that distinction.
If the drys are up, then things are looking up...if they are down, then manufacturing is down and it affects the economy....
The drys consist of DRYS, SBLK, OCNF, EGLE, FREE, and Diana (NOK or NOS...I forget) only Dread owns Diana (expensive). If I forgot one, then shoot me.
I hope that helps,
Bill

Bill and all,
Here is what I see with a quick look at your finds.
GERS: Their chart has some promise to it but I hesitate on this one. Biofuels are one of those products that just has not caught on. Kinda like a condom everyone should use one but no one wants to. Biofuels still struggle with high production costs in creating their product. Unless oil shoots way up again I don’t see biofuels doing any real progress. There might be some value in a quick in and out in this one if someone knows of some industry news. What you are really doing on this one is betting that oil will go up.
THRR: I like this one. Aluminum is going to be in demand for a long time. I would like to see a little more volume and I would keep an eye on it and shoot for .007 or so. Worthy of further study. Good find.
CADD: Interesting, but it looks like a huge pump and dump going on. Lots of talk about a buyout. The stock was not moving at all until all of this talk of a spin off or buy out. Would take a lot more time and study to see if this is a trap or a good buy. If someone called the company and got some answers it might look more appealing.
CNO: I think just about any Bank is a good buy if you want to go long. I would rather go with AIG.
OCNF: I really like this one.
SSCCQ: I totally agree with everything you said on this one. Lots of assets and lots of need for this product. I don't feel any heat with the "Q" on this one.
BEHL: A good gamble. I guess we will see in the next few days.
These are just my thoughts… remember . . . I could be quite stupid.
Good Hunting everyone.
Hey everyone!!!
Hey Bill, I don't own Diana shipping, just to correct, all good!!
Also, in regards to CHTRQ, I do not see a time stamp, from the C/P you posted the other day. I have seen about 30 articles that state the same thing from 2 months ago. I would day trade it to make money as long as you watch the volume pattern on it. If I see CHTRQ right, you have several more months to jack with it, like a whore house in Vegas, in and out!!!
I am waiting for several stocks to race to the bottom. SIRI is still my sole holding. If SIRI breaks below .31 I will hammer it with 10k x2 blocks. Watching the volume today makes me wonder if .35 is that bottom. Guess we will see!!
Hey, Magician!!! Follow the BDI, lots of good stuff, and no affect from politics, unless a major war breaks out. Or other issues become prominent!!

Good stuff and links to research here, just do your own DD!!!
Thought this morning: Inflation will rule the day as long as they keep devaluing the dollar. Food/oil/gas/ect..... Not to mention all of the lies coming out, plus double talk, and double standards.
Its easier to get the toothpaste out of the tube, than to put it back in.
Play the inflation trade, if you see it. When the gov steps in and tries to prop up a correction in the market, it fails!!! Housing/jobs/wages/ect...
I recommended oil/gas trades a month or so ago, just be careful of demand destruction!!!!
Good luck everyone!! Happy Trading!!!![]()
From a new news alert from Scottrade. I didn't include their logo for copyright purposes. CHTRQ is like a yo yo. Buy it, sell it, don't touch it, ya buy it, sell it....
I have watched that stock for so long that it is incredible. I would rather not deal with it. There has been so much bad news with it over the months.
Right before they went bk I almost considered playing with it, but then backed off quick. I think we had this discussion months back.
Boy the car dealers are wound up this morning. This is going to be a big issue.
Now a trucking company, YK Trucking, is going to the government for a pension bail-out.
Pelosi is sure having a wonderful time these days, lol.
Those possible picks I made last night were really random and fast. I was trying to do some scans and nothing had a percentage of gains that was worth dealing with. Usually I can find a whole bunch of possible picks with high percentages, but they just didn't show up last night. It makes me wonder. I even checked the basic materials sector which is the hottest right now and there was nothing there worth talking about. If anybody else has some good ones, please let us know. I was rather shocked that everything was so lean.
damnt i was going to buy ssccq this morning but i cant till all my funds are withdrawable or ill be stuck waiting another 3 days to get some funds out, GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR i have a feeling im gonna miss something and be pissed haha, its either ssccq or lvlt whichever i feel bottoms first. ocnf and siri are on the list too but i think i might miss ocnf cause i dont think its going under 1.20 and thats where i want to get it. I think siri is going to keep getting beating for awhileso im gonna try and hold off till alot of this bad news has been digested.
