As long as I've been on boards, there is always someone who it attempting to impose their rules and boundaries, under the pretense of civil and poster etiquette. I'm thinking forums were initially made by those that sought out a way to express themselves, "without censorship". Going with you John on your above, "say whatever you want". Good luck to all.

lol, yes your right, maybe we should take it back to the front page

and, there is nothing to talk about so.....I'll add to it and say, I read that thread that you are all discussing and couldn't find anything wrong...in fact it was very innocent...

it really amazes me sometimes how different people really can be in taking criticism, sarcasm and even name calling.

to add something useful....I was listening to my recording of the night shows on my XMP3 and there were several mentions of "this is the future" and "you as a subscriber are ahead of the curve" and the callers were agreeing, and a few were in the under 25 age group.

Well said John. If you took out my references to "The moderators" in my original post, you'll see I agree 100%. None of the political discussion bothers me, nor do the arguments (it's pretty easy to scroll past and not read). shit happens and like you say, it keeps things interesting. My only point was that banning or giving strikes is silly. Before it ever gets to that point, the moderators should step in. 'nuff said... from me anyway

So.... Any thoughts on where we head next week? I swear, it's always some friggin drama with this stock. We'll get past the MLB thing eventually, but now there is that idiot Hartleib. Maybe Q1 will not be so bad and may even point to an improving future (as Brandon wrote about), but then we have the Satellite launch in June where all kinds of things could go wrong. Are we ever going to get a few months of smooth sailing with this thing?

Well, I was the one that started this intraday thread and I spent a lot of time in the beginning trying to keep it timely and relevant. I was basically almost the only poster on this thread for quite awhile in the beginning. My vision was for it to become a one stop resource for timely intraday SIRI news and intelligent discussion - basically, the complete opposite of the Yahoo SIRI board. As I am not a fan of "censorship", my hope was that the posters on this thread would honor and respect that vision and be good examples to one another and new members. It takes intelligence and restraint to not feed on silly arguments and fill up the thread with soap opera nonsense. Intelligent on topic debates are one thing, but childish personal attacks and name calling etc. wastes everyones time...

Would everyone please work together to try and keep this a place of intelligent, concise and relevant information and discussion? Can we all work together to make this a place we can all be proud of? It is becoming frustrating to keep track of the intraday thread and sort through all of the crap. Not everyone has the time to sort through all of the off topic and superfluous nonsense.....

I hope people will help to keep my original vision for this thread alive so that it does not degenerate into Yahoo garbage...

Who is with me on that?

    I'm with you 100%.

I don't think there should be censorship, just post political views etc.. in a different thread.

A voice of reason. Enough drama. There's more crap in these threads than there is discourse regarding SIRI, and the worst part is that it's barely entertaining.
