No it wouldn't. With fully diluted shares outstanding of, what is it 6 billion? The stock price could never go higher than 1.25-1.75. That's in a time of major economic expansion.

There are too many shares. Bottom Line.

I could be wrong. All of the knowledgeable Senior members seem to be avoiding this question regarding the RS.

Will we get any warning or will they just do it?

Thanks guys for your valuable insight!

This slump may last the year, but not much longer after which auto sales will be back with a fury.
Thanks ... this also jives with Wards Auto World SAAR numbers. It should be noted that the drop to 9.2 Million is a calculation based on the specified month sales continuing for one year.

The only warning you will get will be a halt in trading, or none at all.

It says they can execute the r/s at anytime between now and the end of the year.

So basically no warning at all.

True, that 9.2 million SAAR was based on Jan-Feb sales, which are historically low. Sales tend to pick up in March and continue to do so through the summer. March sales numbers are due out Friday April 3, or maybe Monday April 6 at the latest. My guess is that while the numbers will show a continuing YoY decline, they should also support an overall SAAR hopefully in the 11.5 million range as you predict. This may be the next news to propel the stock price . . . not withstanding any further news on RS/dilution which seems to be forthcoming. The numbers supporting some marginal increase in subs for the year is what we hope for.

    Brandon...

Not that I think this SP will get over 1.75 due to the bondholder financing agreements and debt load, but both ORCL and CSCO have over 5B Out and both are well over 1.75. And currently SIRI only officially has 3.9B Out. It's a misconception that a SP can't move with Billions Out. If enough investors wanted it to move (big IF), like starting tomorrow...this SP could be $4.00 in one week. It would move believe me...and I think you would have to agree with that. IMVHO..

Further...no offense but you said SIRI is 'just a radio company..that's it'. Huh? This excerpt from one of those earlier posted articles is a bit more accurate me thinks..

    >>But what I told USA Today back in November remains true today: "There is still no other audio service that provides the breadth of entertainment in your car at this time."

The reality is that we still love this service. You just can't get this level of entertainment anywhere else. <<

Thanks for the info. That was the extremely condensed version. Hope your right about sleeping better and accumulating more shares. From the sound of it, that is what most posters here are doing. Accumulating more shares.

Announcement will be made after 5pm and fractional stockholdings will be paid out in cash based on the closing stock price on the day of the announcement!

Here's a link to another company that had pre-approved R/S
