In addition they will throw odd lot, all or nothing, bid and asks in front of NSDQ and ARCX orders to slow things down so that they can regroup for their next charge... most retail orders go out over NSDQ or ARCX so this is another way to keep the Indie Trader out of the game..... when you know this you can do the same by setting up your order for execution, waiting for the last minute to set exact 4 digit price and then execute in front of them.... I love it when I am able to do this.... Its how I bought my block today at .1901, they got comfortable for a second thinking they were going to take it below .19 and I was able to take advantage....

rats at sharebuilder won't let you set price except in whole cents. I have to pay or take whatever they feel like giving me. I've seen my trades sit open till price rose or fell .005 Then they jack me for each share I buy or sell. (example I sell at .19 but after all their robbery I realize .1825)

Too many people who bashed this company are tied to GS... for my liking...

cos1000, I agree this stock has confused the hell out of us. How many times have we said there is no way it should be this low.

So as you can see the PPS has never made to much sense.

They are certainly guilty of frontrunning to be sure.

not disagreeing on how they are calculated on NSDQ and ARCX for retailers / indie traders using these two platforms... many of the the small bid / ask positions are simply place holders for bids and asks on these other MM platforms that never get executed or are modified in share volume before being executed.... there is no way to know what each of these are... If you look at level two, these place holder bids are setup already by some MM's at .18 and .1701. If the stock moves to these levels their orders get modified in volume and then executed if they wish.

and for everyone else from Wikepedia:

Front running is the illegal practice of a stock broker executing orders on a security for its own account while taking advantage of advance knowledge of pending orders from its customers. When orders previously submitted by its customers will predictably affect the price of the security, purchasing first for its own account gives the broker an unfair advantage, since it can expect to close out its position at a profit based on the new price level. Front running may involve either buying (where the broker buys for their account, driving up the price before filling customer buy orders) or selling (where the broker sells for its own account, driving down the price before filling customer sell orders).
