Agreed. But I think he used to lurk in SA too, so its not like it wouldnt of necessarily happened anyway. I apologize for saying you intentionally brought bk back on the table so you could buy shares lower. I dont think you really thought Brandon would have written that article, if you had I see now you may have never metioned it in the first place.
Good discussions today Guys................................ Great to see all of the long hours and your hard work come to fruition. Have a great weekend and relax and get some sleep. The Dog and I will take the watch this weekend on the line.............. we are rested and the Dog is more than ready to run. We will be vigilent that you may rest. Pity the enemy, if the Dog surprises them. The moon is bright and the gerbil will be along soon, with news of the enemy. We can use all he has gathered for next week's run.................... ..goodnight all............. ...killer and the Dog.
Rel/Cos,
This is my first post and I don't know if you guys are still around, but we all are glad to see you two talking again (kinda). We need both of you and all of your powder available for the coming battle (Killer and Blue would agree, I'm sure).
I've followed you two and the rest of the SA gang for the last couple of months, and have maintained, and even increased my long position based on your consistently accurate beliefs and market knowledge; which are always supported with exceptional due diligence, insight and integrity.
This is the first stock I have ever purchased (a trial by fire to be sure!) so I totally believe in the company and the product (two lifetime subs).
Last Friday afternoon (Feb 27) I was watching level II and experienced the exilerating SIRI advance to $.16 in the last 5 minutes of the day (it was like 4th of July fireworks!). At the same time I was logged onto the SA site and witnesed the dialog between you guys and others that both precedeed and followed this amazing advance. Since then I have witnessed the subsequent falling out and, hopefully, re-establishment of the bonds and comraderie between you two that will be needed to achieve all of our common goals - namely: excellent SIRI stock appreciation!!
We will need you both at your full faculties to help us through the trials that undoubtably await. Find it in your hearts and minds to take the high road and forgive, forget, reunite and accept this challenge for the benefit of yourselves and the rest of us longs. We all will be much the wealthier for it, I'm sure.
Long live Sirius XM!!
Thought of this on the way to work today...Guys and ladies...Brandon will never be able to admit it, but he had inside information, maybe from Mel himself to post that article...the intent was to draw out the basher sites into posting a similar article to make them look like fools.
That article that Motley fool put out pretty much discredited their entire history of SIRI bash articles...
Good Job Brandon, thanks for taking one for the team!![]()
I wish that were true, but Brandon isnt going to be used to that end, and your logic fails. We saw the seeds of that article forming right before our eyes, and know exactly when he decided to write it and why. The timing of the news was coincidence. Mel wanted minimum effect of the announcement, once again to allow the shorts hes been working with time to cover, or supress the price from a huge jump. Friday late. Trying to slip it in unnoticed. Brandon was very unlucky in his timing, and discredited himself in the process. Brandon has no insider information Ive seen. If anything he has insider information by lurking our posts for months in Seeking alpha.
cos1000, you had better use the whole quote and not just the last paragraph at the end before you start to blast or misrepresent what I said buddy.

They will most likely have added to it. I know I am not going to like it when they say they have 400, 500+, in COH. I am going to be pissed, because that means there were other options open. Now did Charles Frick alot of those options up, I think he did. I also think he forced Mels hand on alot of this bullshit. That if he would have kept his gruppy hands to himself then we would not have had to give up 40% of the company."
"P.S. I know some are going to say well if they had that much COH then why did they say they were close to filing for BK. The reason was not just the Feb. debt but all the rest that was coming up. That when Charles came in the banks were now not so certain that extending the credit facilities with Mel in control was the best option. So now that means the COH was not going to be enough to cover both what was left in Feb. and the Bank debt due in May and still have enough to carry out business on a day to day basis."
"I am not sure about this but I dont recall SIRIXM ever saying directly that BK was a possiblitity because of Feb. debt. They did say that BK was possible and that is why they did not need the shareholder vote. The point being that they ether needed to get this deal done or face the reality of May not getting extented. The deal was a here and now kind of thing that had to be done now and may not be there later."
Now if you read the whole thing, then the last part of that was to show that they needed the Malone deal to get by the May debt also. The mention of BK if you recall was mentioned for the purpose of the Malone deal. I eluded that the only reason they needed Malone now was because Charles (DISH) F-d up the works by now giving the banks another option (most likely a better one) other then extending the credit with Mel. Mel brought in Malone to give the banks a totally different set of options. Which I believe were something like: You can fight it out in bankruptcy court to get pennies on the dollar or deal with Malone and SIRIXM.
Nowhere in there did I ever think that this was NOT a done deal from the time the half of the Dec converts were moved back and Malone deal was first inked. As I said you over stated the importantce of a boiler plate statement. I have not changed my opinion on that. Basically Mel sweetend the pot just enough for the banks to choose him over the alternative.

Relmor, do you have any doubts about SIRI not going FCF postive in 2009?
I will hold till that time. Long SIRI
I have a few things to say. This may be just a blog but I assure you that Sirius XM executives and employees do in fact read it everyday. Howard Stern has talked about us on his show. I have received many correspondences from certain people (they wear suits) who shall remain nameless on my articles.
As for my "lurking." By now you know I more than lurk. I get involved. I'm invested in this stock, too. I'm always looking for ideas on new articles and topics. Right now in fact, I think that Homers market cap story is a big one. That was truly amazing insight that was overlooked by the average retail investor. I'm here, at seeking alpha, on yahoo, at aol, raging bull. I check news from multiple sources. I'm always looking through FCC and SEC filings.
That's not to say its only place where I get ideas. I dissect analyst reports when I get them, review OEM data and offer technical analysis which is my fortay on occasion. I never claim to be great at fundamental analysis. I'm not an accountant, but I do my best.
