Dont worry too much what companies SP are. Just look at anything under 3 P/E ratios, that business models you feel will survive. Is steel done? Will we never need steel again? yes? Then buy X, its trading under 1 p/e ratio. Hundreds of examples out there. Is GE a good business model going forward? If you feel it is, then $5 is probably ok to buy at. Its all up in the air now, the market is in completely uncharted waters. Markets hasnt fallen this fast since 70 years ago.

Looks like it'll be a pretty flat day for SIRI today.

I'm ALMOST considering selling off my SIRI for now and holding a different stock until the 17th, as I highly suspect this stock will sit at .13 until maybe a day before the Q4 CC. The wimp in me is afraid of missing out on any spikes in the meantime... but there are a few stocks that I think might pop before the 17th hits (CPST, LVS, WYNN).

Big Ben you are a Steelers Fan right? Well no wonder we don't get a long! I just figured it out. Let's put it this way, if I were to change my alias from DMO2424 it would be to BIG BRADY. Go Pats...

NO WAY STEELERS WIN AGAIN this year if Brady is healthy... sorry for the non SIRI stock post...

    Hank Greenberg syndrome!

John...I had many chances to sell from 1.69 all the down my friend.

Sounds like there are a few peps with HGS! That clown worked there for 30years and never sold a share. Yestday morning on CNBC there was this unusally long pause after he stated his losses were 2billion. Carl K asked, In personal wealth? Yep! Genius! He now wants to sue AIG/Governement for damages, claiming they lied about the CDO book. I have to give you a big Artie Lang WHAAAAAAAAAAAA, I lost my 2 billion. LOL. All I could think of is support group of losers that we are! If he sues and wins we are in the money, we can sue the pants off MEL. I won't go into all the lies we've been told and late night deals MEL pushes through. IF he has a case so do we!

I'm not big potatoes don't get me wrong but somehow I doubt BigBen is a seasoned trader (or investor) either... but if he's content making that kind of trade and can do it, more power to him. Just frustrates the heck out of me to read those comments but I've expressed that before and was told to find a better thread more suited to long term investors... thanks

Hi, Those little moves up and down are how you recover your loss. a .02 move up lets you increase your share numbers without introducing new money. example
Feb 5 SP went to .20 on the 11th it was .06
50k shares sold on 5th produced 166k on 11th. And those have doubled in value.
No one thinks you can hit the highs and lows exactly. ( I sold at .19 and rebought at .11 so I bought .05 too high) But I have more then doubled my position by trading the highs and lows.

Looks like those days are gone for now as SP does not go up and down .02 currently.

The trick is to forget what you paid for a share and sell when up and buy when down The wash sale thingy will track how much you owe for taxes (but since most of my shares were bought over .50 my doubling shares only produce abot 1.2k profits so far.

Most would not have too much of a problem with it, unless someone gave a answer of 5. then you have a problem. Do you get it yet.
John....I can see we are going to have alot of "fun" here! Your response makes me laugh, if only because we both know that no one is coming here asking what 2+2 is. That said....there are ALOT of people, and you know this is true, who in all honesty should NEVER have invested in this particular company, and they did because they fell in love with it, and wanted to be a part of something they truly enjoyed, and felt they could honestly make some money....as we all do. Should we be calling them stupid...because they are now living in fear and desperation over the SP as of now...and haven't a clue what they got themselves into. They are out there....some were smart enough to be here and on SA to try and find info and answers. Is it not right to encourage them to get answers and learn? I don't see where calling their questions...however basic, stupid helps anyone.

    dmo...

It's all good. Best thing about you is you actually HAVE a strategy. Anyone in the market needs one of some kind..so 'weel done'..

One other thing..I know it seems derogatory but the term pig is almost more a proxy for a difficult stock than an attack on the company itself and you will hear that term slung around from time to time from us, the SA refugees. I know for a fact Big Ben believes in SIRI as a company and product. But you put lipstick on it, you dress it up, and you eat it, and sometimes it eats you LOL! But the term is more an extension of those pig MM's (and Specialists on the NYSE side) who manipulate these stocks and who's second mission statement is to part investors and traders with their money. All of our goals are to beat their arses at their own game, which we know is not so easy..JMHO...

DMO...I'll give you one thing...Pats have total confidence to let Cassel go. An MCL and ACL with complications and you let the back up go....I don't know about that move. Well time will tell if that was a good move. Good luck next year.

I know we have a few things in common. All the good players in the AFC are exiting stage right. Alber Hayn, TJ HOUS, Lewis to Dallas. You have to love teams sending there best players to the NFC.
