BigBen congrats on your moves. I have never sold my shares and have been in longer than you. I guess I don't have it in me to try and recoup my $50,000 on $300 dollar trades (again IF YOU CAN EVEN DO IT) a couple of times a week. Best of luck

    sl65,

GE is something to behold as a statement of our national predicament!
I've been trying to pull the trigger on $100 worth for my kids (long) account for the past 2 weeks and every day I ask myself " is it at the bottom"

the way things are going he may get a 1oo shares. ouch

if GE goes to a buck we are #%^#$ed. Nice rhyme ugly reality.

oh yeah, good ole dad finally got his account average in SIRI down to .17

    dmo...

I love your spirit..I also like people who stand up for something they believe. Well done man. You have to remember, this SP has fallen in the hands of traders and shorts. A state none of us longs like to see necessarily. So profitability right here is maxed using both long and short-term strategies. Believe me, a lot of us share your pain and keep the same positive outlook. I don't think we are far off for this SP regaining some of it's own identity. Right now it's kinda possessed..

A good friend works for SNY and he is in a conference in ORL, FL. He just text me, YOu should see how bad the state of affairs are for big pharma!"

    WolfChild..

I have a question since you seem to want to continue to be part of this community..what was your motive on SA for being so confrontational? If you're cool please tell me cause you certainly didn't come across like it on the other site. Callin out a guy's slowing business that's attached to the housing mess is not what I call cool and you certainly seemed to have it in for one of our more respected bros. here 163888..so tell me what gives?? Cause if there's a reason to, I'm more than fine with sharing communication with you..but I have my doubts.
My Democratic views were not welcomed at SA. Maybe here in a larger, more diverse population they will be. Add the facts that I am from California and own smoke shops and I was somehow pegged as the socialist, liberal idiot. Some of the other members are very quick to harshly insult another for having different views which I think is wrong. It's ok to debate but once you've crossed the line (for example "you're parents should have beat you more as a child") you have waged war. I have given the other members an opportunity to retract their negative comments only to be greeted by more. The attacks don't bother me as I don't know any of you but it's not in my nature to let someone think they can get away with saying anything they want just to be an ass whether it's to me or anyone else.

I welcome discussion that includes debate but check your throne at the door. No one here is better than another especially not because of political affiliation.

    That's the short of it.

The long of it is Sirius

Big Ben, My god man, dont tell me you held it when it was at between .60 to 1.20 all the way past 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, I give you credit for still being here for that because if I didnt start selling it at 5 to 8, and just kept it I would have shot myself by now. I am still pissing and moaning that I didnt sell the last of it at 9. and that I started to buy back at 4 (or that matter, I just didn't take my profits and leave this pig altogether).

    koop...

Yeah, GE with a 5 handle or lower is just sick...getting it here or a little lower, 5 or ten years from now hopefully that's a way to amaze your friends and family! that is, if we can manage to keep at least two wheels on the pavement over that time period..some don't believe we can..

    Good work on the average!

yeah SI62 it's true it's painful but you know what I truly believe that my original investment will pan out in the long term (more than 2 weeks!, 2 months!, or even 2-5 years long term) and I admit it's tough holding back on the temptation to day trade but I think that's a slippery slope. Maybe the days of buy and hold long are long over but given my time constraints (and original conviction in the long term prospects of SIRIXM), I'm ok with my strategy. I am also diversified in many stocks- all of which are getting killed recently but long term I'll be ok- I had APPLE for about 10years for example and won't sell that one either. Up big still... Check back again in 2 years for SIRI...

but good luck to all traders who want there $300 bucks a few times a week- just stop complaining about "pigs" or go to vegas with your gambling money

asm610, you really dont want to debate me on this do you (because you will lose coming from the politically correct side and not the factual side), Here is a perfect example as to what I was saying if you read the comment: What is 2 + 2, that would be a dumb question for anyone here right. Most would not have too much of a problem with it, unless someone gave a answer of 5. then you have a problem. Do you get it yet.

Curious...I think you said you've been an investor in SIRI for a while...how long?? You have to understand when new people show up and start ripping arses, it's highly suspect as to your motives..I've seen too many of you come and go..
I bought in at 3.50+ back when Cramer was calling it a $5.00 Stock. If that gives you an idea as to when I bought in.

In this economy you really have to protect your investments and I have been way down on Siri. My motives are simply to beat up the bully and get my lunch money back from him (with interest. Thanks Mel).
The best way to do that is to actively learn the stock instead of just letting it sit in the closet as I've done with it for years.
SA seemed like a great place to reaffirm my own thoughts as how to proceed or to change strategies all together. Some of you guys really know your product.

I hold just over 100k shares. While it's not much money, it's more than I'm willing to throw away by ignoring it.
