Sirius XM channel updates galore

I have noted the constant channel updates as of late but, it might be worth mentioning that on the ride home from work today I got hit with a two-for. This is the first time I can remember ever seeing an update followed by an update only 3 minutes later.

So, whats with all the updates? Let the guessing game begin...

What radio do you have ? I have a sportster 5 and did not see any.

Suppose the new rates comes new packages, i think the new rates are probably geared more at internet usage and the iphone application, which shouldnt affect the sats...so scratch that. however i have been reading some people notice sound quality differences since the chan changes, maybe the merged channels are getting some broadcast updates from the originating source. thinking out loud...

I'm not getting any of these channel updates on my SL2 either.

So, it's only the older hardware that is getting a bunch of updates.... I wonder what that might mean.
