Sirius XM poor sound quality in 2016 Ford Fusion

I have had Sirius in 2 previous cars sounded great no problems now in a 2016 ford fusion supposedly with the premium system. (SONY 12 SPEAKER) It sounds TERRIBLE. (swirly sibelance- honky mid, crap base just empty a few channels 8 for instance is close to ok)
what are some things one can try for a fuller reception I should add fm is ok mp3 is brilliant.
I'm not here to bash the car or the service I just want to learn.

Different channels have different levels of compression. Try a different channel -- a more popular channel and see if you hear the same issue.

If all the channels sound the same, bring it back to the dealer, something is wrong.
