"Real Economy?" Hmmm... this was a manufactured economy by the Federal Reserve. Easy street is over. If this economy was so great, the Fed would have raised rates. If you can afford a car, the time is now to buy. When the Federal Reserve starts raising rates, auto loan and mortage rates will go up. It's just a matter of time. I do think the fed will wait until AFTER the election. I know she doesn't want her actions to influence the upcoming presidential election.

Great close! 5.25 here we come...

As regards your charts, thanks. I was crossing my fingers for a couple more cents today so I could enjoy a 20 cent profit on a large block in my "accumulation" scheme. Now I'm nervous and undecided if I should leave that sell order at 3.85 or let my greed take control and move the stop on up. If I can read anything from your work, it might be to convince me to hold tight and take my lumps (or fortunes) as we move down the road.

My better judgement tells me to stick with my original plan. Besides, I have other blocks poised at higher sale prices.

PS. I too had completely cashed in my holdings accumulated since 11 cents in '09 and had gone to greener pastures. The recent temptation to play the short term trade opportunities was too much to ignore. So far, I'm up a few shares from where I began, and when I choose to sell and take profits, you can rest assured those are exclusively traded in tax-deferred accounts.
Hi SLY....maybe we have a chance if Weeden can through the ball a bit further down the field to a CowBoy rather than the defense.

Your strategy seems to have been well thought out. Of course we could see anything on Monday..Big up or down but it does look like we could be headed a bit higher with the help of the Macro.

Still long core myself and trading frequently. Will continue to do the same at least through year end into Q1 2016 then I may trim back a bit.

Good luck on the trades SLY

Midas, those are nice Spider Pics....... I guess I'm looking too much toward the sky as I seek good photo targets. I need to look in the logical places for best stuff. On the other hand, earlier this year I got this shot which I posted onmy Flickr page. Tthis is the one receiving my best reviews and comments.............. It's an Otter wrestling and finally eating a Coal Snake in a local retention pond. Full disclosure, this is the 4th picture taken with my new Nikon D-7100 and 300mm zoom lens......... Not a bad start if I say so myself........... try to double click for a zoomed view of this one. It was actually pretty creepy as I was innocently walking around the bank of this small lake when I noticed quite a disturbance next to shore..... I then saw the reality of what was going on.

Thanks. These spiders are huge. The only lens I had on was my Zoom and I had to go in manual focus to capture these 2. That otter pic is awesome! That's one thing I need work on is when I am in panic mode trying to get the picture. I can't remember settings or anything.

At first, the snake looked like a BOA. I am going to go back and see how much further the spiders have gotten on their web. The thing is, they are right on top of the street and sidewalk. I bet someone takes a shovel to them.

No they did not...I did...and THIS particular time it worked out for me and there they are with their hand out demanding a cut....fine, nothing I can do about it....then I take the rest of the money and let's say I treat myself and I buy myself a big-ass boat....a nice 45 ft Searay with all the trimmings....guess what? I have to pay sales tax on that too! AND an extra "luxury tax" because, well you know, it's "unfair" that I should have that money in the first place and not some 22 year old baby momma with three kids and a fourth on the way.
    Just sayin'
You are not being taxed on your income twice if you invest it. You only get taxed on the new money you didn't have before you invested. And that rate on any new money is only 15% if you have invested for a year. Under a year is your progressive bracket.
As for the boat, you aren't taxed twice either, you pay the percentage of the product you buy. Or you can buy it in Delaware.

For those of you that are interested in economics/fiscal policy and what extreme tax cuts unleash, do a little research on Brownback's experiment in Kansas. Then go see what Brown did in Cali. I don't care what party you are for, numbers don't lie.

I would love to see a flat tax but that will never happen for several reasons, most of which are the special interests that love the deductions and the Accounting industry.

Feeling awfully confident about Comcast Disney and Sirius right now-

    1. Jessica (Merrill) upped Comcast EBITDA estimates last night and reiterated $84 target.

    2. Jessica (Merrill) added Disney to Merrill's Top 10 Q4 picks yesterday and reiterated $130 target.

    3. Crockett (FBR) put a $6 dollar target on Sirius today on strong auto sales pushing sub numbers higher.

Overall stock market has to cooperate, but feeling great right now. I see big upside over the next year in all 3 names.
