[QUOTE=midas360;91804]What are we going for next? I am going to try for some wild turkey BUT I will have to carry my camera on the walk as the turkey usually show up about 7:25am. QUOTE]
For me, I'm thinking of doing more moon shots so I can "lock in" my exposure awareness for that 500mm lens. I was really set back when I learned it is not such a great low-light device. By that I mean that the largest aperture is f/6.3 which means it worked great at ISO 100-800 and relatively fast shutter speeds during the bright phase of the moon. I was in process of tweaking the shutter down to 1-3 seconds and ISO to 1600+ when the clouds rolled in. So, I was disappointed my shots were a bit shy on the exposure.... I think also I can produce higher quality bird shots with my new-found knowledge of how that lens and certain newly discovered camera options can work to my advantage.
I have an additional new field of interest during this stormy season, that being a desire to capture shots of lightning bolts. With my D-5200 and wide angle lens parked atop a tripod near the back door, I think I'm ready to go at short notice when the next t-srorm moves in.
Good luck with the turkey shoot. I'd like to see what you come up with.
PS. During a trip a couple years ago to Gatlinburg, Tenn., I accidentally stumbled upon a few wild turkeys which I was able to get a shot at. I'll have to see what I did with those and bring them out for bragging rights.
Strong volume today that's what i like to see....good day for shares to be bought back.
Browns couldn't score TD from 1 vs. Raiders, who had 10 men on field
