Sirius XM Is About to Shake Things Up

Even with strong auto sales, this stock isn't doing anything. It's trading at 43 times earnings and the fed is going to raise rates. You don't think the market thinks Sirius XM is priced fairly?

I don't think the "market" is so rational and near sighted as to put all it's faith in current technicals. On another note, I am researching other profitable companies to invest in with a similar all domestic presence as Sirius. Anyone have any suggestions?

Well, as it relates to "the Chinese question", SIRI is about as well insulated from that noise as any company I can think of. Sat Rad and cars with SAT radios are only in North American. So that's a positive regarding currency issues - there are none. But I would agree with Midas that, regardless of what anyone here thinks about valuation, or how the stock should be valued (P/E, FCF, etc..) the market seems to regard SIRI as fairly priced right now. I guess if anyone is convinced...truly convinced that the stock is undervalued based on whatever metric they are using, they should be accumulating like crazy.

As I am studying the companies with the greatest losses, it is true that most all of them have a strong Chinese connection. This could turn into monies being pulled out of companies that have international risk and move into American companies with domestically produced products and services that are utilized primarily for our own purposes. (such as Sirius, where the risk looks lesser than Apple right now!)

Edit: I am buying more Sirius based on my theory. Put in a $3.80 buy order. Will be fine if it does not fill.

With siri focus more on FCF than trading multiple.

@BDP... wish you were around when we found the company Novavax (NVAX). We bought that stock in the low to mid $4's. Some of us in the $3 range. It traded to $15.01 yesterday and has since pulled back. However, this company is nothing like Sirius XM. They have no earnings BUT their future growth prospects is getting the Medical Community, FDA, and investors excited.

Apple looked good at 109.63 today. Love hindsight!

Here's a few tickers to consider....(disclosure: I have not researched these other than to look and see what their foreign exposure is, so I have no idea if they are a "buy" now or not...DYODD Please!):

CVS, SO, ETR, LO (RIA), CSX, HD, KR, LB, HRL, DUK, KSS, HRB, HOG, SJM

Anyway, I'm sure there are many, many others...this is just the result of a quick search for stocks with minimum foreign exposure.

S&P resistance is now 2074...need to rebound and break thru that.

Dow making a bit of a comeback today.

Siri back to 3.94

EDIT> Siri new high of day! 3.95

EDIT 2 another new hight of day 3.96!!

Nice SIRI bounce.....Dog is showing off some JumboNuts.....again. Siri clearly trading differently especially after CC. Good things to come I hope and maybe a break of $4 soon....
