    There is a contingency plan for Sirius to function on two satellies until they can get the ground spare up in the sky. I understand the service wouild be degraded but would work atleast most of the time

    XM is in better shape since they have "Rock" and "Roll" as spares in space.

    The financial costs, of course, could push Sirius XM over the edge and into bK

    No, they are not insured....

    SIRI closed green for 3 days in a row!

    This will be the first time SIRI closed green 3 days in a row since last September...

    SIRI closed up 5.564% @ .1385 on decent volume of 56.4 million shares traded...

    not todays it was up but I would not consider it huge vol till it passed 75mil at least

    At this price, huge would be 500,000,000 shares. 56 million at this price level is a joke.

    That said, I would consider 100 mil plus to be pretty huge volume.

    Why not ? They should insure them. I am sure AIG can insure them, they can insure just about anything, including CDO's, MBS's, Satellites... LOL.

    ps: Not insuring this asset makes it a liability, what if it comes down to earth and it hits your home in California ?.
