I have a new suv and the powerconnect adapter is to short. I am looking for either the barrel size of the power plug on the powerconnect adapter so I can get an extension cord to the radio or an actually accessory for this.
Any help would be appreciated as I have been trying to figure this out for weeks.
You should be able to find a compatible power adapter at radioshack or online via amazon. Typically the plug is a set size depending on the number of volts required so you cant really go wrong. Take your cigarette adapter plug to a local electronics store and just buy a generic compatible version.

Hi I have already been to my local Radioshack (The Source here in Canada) and there is nothing available. Do you know of any on amazon?
The volts should be written on the side of the plug... does it say 5v? If so, any 5v cigarette adapter should work.
The question is, how long is your current cord? How long do you need it to be?

Yes its and 5v 1.5A model SXDP1P1 sirius starmate 8 adapter.
Its about 5 feet I think. I need an extra 3-4 feet of length.
Looks like 5ft is the common length. I dont see anything longer than that but you might want to try other local electronics stores.
You could always grab a cigarette power cord extension from Amazon.
