It is mostly mutual funds... Magellan, Vanguard, etc... they are not allowed to trade penny stocks. Hedge Funds can trade SIRI, it depends on the manager, if he sees an opportunity he may short it or go long... Mutual Funds do not short stocks...

As a matter of fact penny stocks are so riskiy that some brokers even restrict new money - from you, from me or from everyone - to trade on them. They sometimes put time restrictions like 5 to 7 days before you can trade. This is to make sure you follow the stock that many days before you dive in... plus, some of them do not lend margin money to buy penny stocks.

Penny stock is one of the riskiest "investments" you can make... I can think of one riskier activitity you can engage only: parachute diving... and even that maybe safer. The stock market can damage you psicologically forever...

I would, hey what is life for ? I am extravagant also, APEX is extravagant, he drives a Hummer and I think I know how it looks like... I do not condemn MEL for taking an extravagant vacation... I condemn him for making some foolish decisions in the past...

Demian, i appreciate all you do

2+ yrs visiting this site finally decided to sign up and post. I would like to start a new thread around credit markets i.e. LIBOR, TED SPREAD, SPREADS INV GRADE VS HY. This is the #1 most important meassure for SIRI. Subs don't matter at this point (however I DONT want to see a decline in subs) we all know 10 + 10 does not = .5 the stock is trading as an option with a life expectancy of 5 month. We have 82 trading days from Jan 1 - May 1. The FED was HUGE yesterday basically forcing investors to tak on RISK.

    A. How the heck do I start a new thread?
    B. SIRIUSOWNER thinks he knows everything in reality he is an IDIOT!!
    C. Charles is GREAT and works his A$$ off!!!
    D. Tyler is borderling genious but has more going on in his life and obviously letting up on on his work here at time when we NEED him the most!
    E. Brandon is also smart dude but acts like a LITTLE GIRL.
    F. DEMIAN IS GREAT, PLEASE DONT LEAVE US AGAIN!!
    G. YAHOO MESSAGE BOARDS ARE USELESS

    H. I have a finance degree from TEXAS TECH, I am great at MATH but can't spell worth a flip!!!!!
