Apparently I got some bad advice ... I was under the impression that you couldn't do a market order for stocks on the gray's - Yes you can!

Just unloaded the sponges in attempt to test the hypothesis ... Hmmm, wish i had tried it at .05 but that's OK, just glad to have my tax write off's and to be out of most of these plays ... (Just a few bucks on the sponges.)

I did some digging around over Christmas on the shrub and got a bit of an education. Have something written up at home that I will post later - But it is very enlightening on a number of fronts. Did you know there is an ongoing SEC investigation with the founder of the site? He is suspected of being part and parcell in a ... believe it or not ... a "Pump and dump" ... But it goes much further into the ways and means of the boards, the mods a lot of the suspicions I had about some of these guys being in cahot's together - Having posts deleted for TOU violations when they were not "Off topic" whatsoever ... Some intruiging stuff.

    Bass -

Excellent call on IMAX - my IRA is going to thank you later, it closed HOD.

Got some other crazy pics that ended up near HOD too - SEED and VSYM. AAPL closed nice too!

I'm gonna quit updating my ticker list - I'm keeping stops tighter than ever, looking for volume breakouts - I think my trading will be on a faster pace, except with the more investment like trades - AAPL, CBAI, SIRI... though SIRI better get in gear, lol.

Seriously, for the hub - I do look over there, at times, but practically the only things I go there for are:

    1) see if someone has a link to news - ie. when a stock has gotten some volatility - a dive or a breakout, or unusual volume. I do not take the posters interpretation to the news, just look at their link.

    2) see if there is any increase in posting - example ZVTK when I bought had just a couple of posts - then it moved to the most active list 2 days later- my mistake was not checking that until after my sell - if I would have saw that, I would feel better about holding another day.

I learned my lesson the hard way not to take any of those guys serious about anything... you just want to see links to pr or pasted pr that you can google yourself, or just the level of chatter going on. It amazes me to this day that some of the guys that were posting on the board where I made my grandest trading mistake are still posting on a worthless stock - they have a good guy and a bad guy - posting day in and out keeping shares traded so mm's can get their spreads. Don't ever listen to opinions over there, unless you know the poster has a real decent record, and you can likely tell that by clicking on their name- previous posts, then match what they say to a chart.

What do you know - that stock is making all time all time all time lows... "won't go under $1" - it's trading at 0.013. How many on there are saying it won't go under a penny now...

dr dave, we spotted a play, it confirmed , we have a target. now to protect ourselves, how can we spot weakness in IMAX? what are the bearish signals you are looking for?

I have to run but check out how the 13 ema runs with the stock - or go over to the ablesys site and visually look at their examples at how their software rides stock moves... we can do that manually and wait for a close below a stop level - ie. just get out in the last 5 mins of trading if needed. I hate setting up real stops - intraday will hurt you.

Other thing is some kind of candle - the harami I think - where we get a side by side candle of same length tomorrow, but red.

Then if we do get a run, can always stop out on the first hammer that is high in the sky for an up sell - especially if riding just out of some bollinger bands or something.

close below a 9 ema also looks good, if you're just looking to catch a move - that and just watch little consolidations, next time, just have to be up and ready at 6:30 am... lol, get the breakout a little closer.
