Oh really lets see what the military under Bush did in just Afganistan.
1.) They removed the Taliban from Power.
2.) They destroyed all the Aqida trainning camps in Afganistan.
3.) They have killed or captured many more terrorist leaders then before or since.
4.) They have allowed a NATIONAL democratic government to start in Afganistan for the first time in its history.
All with a very minimum loss of life. Now why dont you ask how well the Russians did in Afganistan. For that matter the Turks, or even the Chinese or countless others who have tried. There has never been such a success in Afganistan the likes of which the US military has been able to do under Bush.

So the problem you have, is you are arguing with a person not in the military anymore.
So lets look at the difference between the two.
Bush: I will listen to the commanders on the ground and give them what they need. He did so, with almost every democrat fighting to stop Bush at every turn.
Obama: Before Nov. 2008 Afganistan is the right war and we need to win it at all cost.
Obama: In March 2009 he recieves a plan done for him by the Bush administration and says to us he is going to do almost exactly what the Bush plan calls for (although as we now know he told the Bush administration to not say a word and gave no credit to Bush for the plan). Obama then hand picks General McCrystal to goto Afganistan to give him a report of what he will need to get that plan done. General McCrystal comes back in Aug. of 2009 and says I need at least 40,000 TO AS MANY AS 80,000 (Yes lets not forget that 40,000 was the LOWEST number) troops ASAP (as soon as possible) or we risk total defeat within a year. What does Obama do, he waits almost 4 months of that year, to do almost exactly the same plan as before and he does not even give General McCrystal the LOWEST estimate of troops he wanted (only 3/4 of the lowest number) and Obama does it for political reasons.

There is noone that has seen that that could say that Sarkozy is more of a socialist then Obama. You might want to see what Sarkozy is trying to do in France and compare that to what Obama is trying to do in America.
You are correct, one of them is a socialist and one of them is a capitalist. If you jugde each by their actions then it is clear Obama is the socialist and Sarkozy is the capitalist.
P.S. There is a reason the polls show that after less then one year of Obama 44% of the people would rather have Bush back. Just think that is only after LESS then 1 year.

Wow man, this is just crazy talk. You people that don't believe in America just amaze me. There are SO many good Conservative Amerians. But, what you and John are talking about is Not Conservative. It is purely paranoid anti-American thinking. Good mainstream Americans will never follow your sort of rhetoric. We know that our country is given the chance to change through Democracy every two years during our Federal Elections. You folks seem to want to overthrow and or disrespect our Elected Government and that is just not patriotic.
My point to John is that We are at war. And he should not continually be attacking our President during this time of war. It's just that simple.
It is very patriotic and very American to disagree with the President. But, it needs to be done in a more polite and rational manner.
It's just fine that you and John think that the President's policies on Cap and Trade are wrong. I have no argument with you for feeling that way and expressing those thoughts. But, John called the President a horse's ass. That is attacking the Leader of our Armed Forces at a time of war in an unacceptable manner. That's my only point with John. Just treat the office of the President with more respect.
We'll have a new President in a few years. Democracy and Freedom will not change. If we don't treat this President with respect, how can we expect the opposition to respect the President that the Conservatives will elect?
It's just a matter of respect for the office at a time of war. It's just that simple.
