lol, take real close note at failure rates - that's the part I didn't get in my head in the beginning - you have to expect the patterns will fail, and that's why you get out when they do.

After you get thru it some more, I can discuss the different tactics that some of the big names use to play them.

exactly like poker. you can have AA against an opponent but it wont win every time. thats why in certain spots you cant overplay big hands, pot control is important in minimizing your losses and if you flop a monster then you go try to maximize profits by building the pot size( this i would compare to "going all in" on a confirmed breakout).

the only difference is the failure rate of a big pattern is higher than a failure rate of a big hand in poker.

but its spotting the pattern and playing it the right way that will maximize your equity gain in the long run. you lose a few bucks on failed breakouts and good stops but you make big bucks on the ones that do breakout. and if you happen to be a "TIGHT" player in poker that only plays AA or KK, then most likely you would buy in on a breakout once its confirmed and in an uptrend and sell just before the price hits your sell target.

so basically once you learn the percentages of success/fail rates of a particular pattern , you need to learn how to master the betting line/investing in order to achieve a successful profit margin. the stops are the key, hand surrender. and on the plus side, you need to learn when to take profits so you can offset any previous/future losses and end up on the PLUS side. which in poker would make this a +EV (equity value) move over the course of a long period of time if executed properly.

and im sure certain patterns are more reliable than others , so the betting line/investing would vary. for example, i would invest more equity in a pattern that has 40% success rate than a pattern that has 25% success rate , do you agree with this strategy as opposed to just having the exact bets on different stocks/patterns?

GSAE has been bouncing almost 20% a day lately. Today it's back down below 40 cents.

May be a good time to buy in and take a ride up later in the afternoon.

Green Star Erects Wind Sensor at Ram

Green Star Alternative Energy, Inc. (Pink Sheets: GSAE) (“GSAE” or the “Company”) (http://www.greenstarae.com) is pleased to announce the installation of a wind measurement tower just outside the settlement of Ram, located in the 50 MW region of Veliko Gradiste.

The terrain had been carefully analysed and months of preparation and licensing have culminated in this deployment. The data gathered will provide the necessary air flow information for Green Star to design, engineer, and optimize this 50 MW potential wind farm.

The Municipality of Veliko Gradiste is located in north-east Serbia approximately 100 km east of the capital, Belgrade. Its territory encompasses 344 square km on the right bank of the Danube River and left bank of the Pek River. The initial micro location for placement of the Company’s wind sensor had been identified next to the settlement of Ram, and the Municipality has allotted 200 hectares of land towards this endeavour.

About Green Star Alternative Energy (GSAE.PK)

Green Star Alternative Energy is an environmentally conscious, renewable energy company working to develop more than 300 MW (megawatts) of clean electricity through wind energy. The corporate revenue model is two-fold: the use of a renewable resource allows not only for the creation of environmentally friendly energy, but the granting of carbon (greenhouse gas) emission credits which may be traded and sold. Green Star is pursuing a significant opportunity to provide clean energy to the growing Republic of Serbia and neighbouring European countries. Through a joint venture with key wind farm and power trading company Notos, Green Star will become the nation's first developer of wind power. GSAE is focused on green technology and sustainable energy programs like wind turbines, hydro electric power generation, and other renewable electricity models.

Green Star in Discussions to Acquire Notos

Green Star Alternative Energy, Inc. (Pink Sheets: GSAE) (“GSAE” or the “Company”) (http://www.greenstarae.com) is pleased to announce that the Company is negotiating to purchase Notos d.o.o. Notos, a privately held company, is currently a joint venture partner with Green Star on several wind energy projects in the Republic of Serbia. Management expects the acquisition to be completed with the issuance of between five and ten million restricted shares, and believes that this merger will strengthen the Company’s industry position and increase shareholder value.

Notos d.o.o. specializes in the creation of electricity from wind energy. With the Belo Blato project currently being scheduled for development and an extensive portfolio of wind resources, Notos is an important participant and pioneer in the Serbian renewable energy sector.

Jesse De Castro, CFO of Green Star Alternative Energy, stated: “The Company has considered various options for growth and expansion; acquiring Notos provides Green Star with a genuine presence in the lucrative European energy market, and complete ownership of its current and future assets.”
