    Hi Guys (and Julie Too)...

Those that picked #3 win. Actually, there should have been a #4, Dave slept thru the open and close.

Pretty bad, still need to cull some stocks, get my positions held under 50%.

RE: on afsx - I looked at the report, at least their EPS has climbed. That and they have a potential new product, which is the N (new product or services) in "can slim". Yes, I used to be more fundamentally oriented in trading.

With the possibility of the needle deal being signed into law riding over the weekend. I'm curious to see if there will still be a rebound tomorrow - previously, I hoped for a pennant formation, shown in dark blue. If there is a rebound, I'd be looking for one forming with the shape using the next line down in light blue, then hopefully a rally out on the signing news. Other possibility is a downturn is in effect, and that there could be a base that forms around 0.025 or 0.015.

Either way, decisions have to be made on how we all deal with it. Make your plans, execute, and learn, regardless of where the price goes. That's the name of the game. For this particular one, bear in mind at one point it was up some 7000% from where it was in June I believe, so while there are likely still buyers, there will also be sellers, so I think the upside at this point is somewhat limited for the time being, compared to risk, and just my opinion.

Anyway, I sense a little frustration from some of these stocks... just play it careful, and if you find yourself down, don't be in a mad rush to get it all back. From my personal experiences, that usually doesn't end up going to well... more than happy to share some of my follies, so we can both learn from them - I've made a lot of mistakes over the years, and usually when I don't repeat them (I still do) my account looks much better.

wtf? don't you have to do a whole lot first? people criticized giving it mullis for PCR, now it stood the test of time, but when it was first issued, the ramifications weren't in yet.

I bet the other board will be all fights today.

I'm just gonna try to shift my stake in gold stocks, though, I bet I miss the open. Just now leaving work, but have to be in early so I should at least see some of it.

Good morning Fellas, and Julie, Too

morning confession: I get a kick out of how *passionate* folks 'become' with the utterance of a single word or name. The thing is, just how one-dimensional are we - as a species? Yeah, not very...not at all, really. It's funny, just how shocked my family is in Ohio that I have done or do certain things - yet, I'm a great father and husband - oh, and I'm a home & business owner. It just blows their minds. Especially since people that do "that", well, they're just not good people & they're going to hell.

Ever try to have an educated debate with a single issue voter?

Confession #2: I've never understood how love could not be unconditional. I rank this - in the frequency of thought - with the "guns kill people argument" -- when we all know, it's MacDonald's that's killing people

    Hey, where's my Noble Prize?

In other news, it looks like Bio-Clean has secured the big bucks. I shouldn't joke about it - $300k for them is like $300mm for other companies. Let's hope that they use it wisely -- oh, I don't know, maybe hiring a few defense contract lobbyists...

    Good Morning Everyone,

I feel the need to share a story and some trading wisdom after reading a few of the posts about how far down some of us are in these pennies.

First of all, let me say that I don't like penny stocks! I play them, but I don't like them. When they go up, it's great. But, when they go down, they tend to stay down for much longer than they were up. That makes it very hard to withstand the downturns.

But, let's look at using big board stocks to do the same thing that we do with pennies.

You all know that I like to swing trade as well as hold for the long term. So, let's look at what can happen when you swing trade big board stocks. Here is an example.

S for SprintNextel. This stock trades in the 3.60 to 4.40 range. So, if you buy 1400 shares at 3.80 and ride it for 4 hours to 2 days to 3.90 and sell it, you stand to make a hundred bucks or so. Then let it drop a few cents and do it again. I do this a lot.

The downside and I'm stuck here right now is this. I bought 2800 shares at 4.07 a week or two ago. But, it dropped after that. It is still in the 3.75 range. So, my money is tied up for awhile. BUT, and this is a really huge BUT, I didn't lose my money. That's because I own a good company. So, my money is tied up, but in a week or two or even a month or so, this stock will be back above 4.07, and I get my money back, and hopefully with some profit.

If that money was in QASP, BEHL, or any of the other 20 thousand penny stocks out there, I may never see my money again. Or, I might have to sell and only get half my money back. Why? Because these are penny stocks and they are just way too vulnerable to many things that aren't good business practices. Like hype, lies, and pump and dump news stories.

We tend to invest in penny stocks because they are cheap. You put a thousand in and you get a million shares. But, shares of what?

The point is there are many big board stocks that cost less than 10 bucks that you can daytrade in that WILL come back after they go down.

I make this point often and I don't want to tick anybody off by repeating myself too many times. But, please consider the big boards in order to actually make money in a little safer environment.

And that's my thought for the day, now let's go make some money!

Dave - consider this. And when I say "consider this", I mean *consider* this - in considering *this*, there's that other *thing* that should 'likely' come into consideration - hence and alas - therefore - it has been some time since America has had a positive image.

Personally, I'm getting a real kick out of it all. As it turns out, reasoning isn't always circular. Sometimes...yes, sometimes we have the exhilaration of a slippery slope

gosh, what's that other one...(it's been a long time since that logic course)...oh yeah, the red herring...

looks like I'm gonna have to dig out that book
