I'm so new to investing that I have never had to apply capital gains/losses to my taxes yet. That being the case, I have a situation that I could use some advice on....

I bought AMNE the day before the F/S 100K shares at .01. After the 5 for 1 F/S the shares are now worth .0012 each giving me a net loss of $400 on the investment.
    HOWEVER..
Due to the F/S my acct is showing that I have $4400 loss on the investment.
I only put $1000 into it.
So my question is, if I sell at this loss, will I be able to count it as a $4400 loss on my taxes or just $400 loss?

If it is the $4400 loss then this just might be the most profitable loss I'll ever have!!

All tax advice is appreciated guys.
Splits need to be adjusted, our loss will be $400 - either your broker will adjust it accordingly after the shares settle (like a buy or sell), or you'll have to do it manually.

i picked up mopre shares of QASP on the dip , actually raising my avg , but im flipping those. looks like MM's are letting this run again, i just dont know how high.

i still cant get on the wheel.
I'm totally with you - I have my 50% in, at the end of the day, if it closes at 0.0019 or lower, I'm gone.

MPTO is almost as annoying as BCLE
it does the same thing except the opposite
BCLE always brings it way down and closes the same
MTPO always brings it way up but closes the same
both w/ small volume $ for the day.

Take it for what its worth.
It will happen all at once and then strap yourself in. People will be buying like crazy and then worry about whether the numbers are good or bad after the fact, lol.
