They know the 3rd quarter and then the 4th quarter are following close behind the second quarter. I would not want to be in a wait and see position at this point so why would they. Once again why I dont think we see the thirties again, yes I said it a second time. If you recall though it is the only times I have ever said it, so you know there has to be some common sense behind it.

just a little Ralph Cramden sarcasm is all . . I know, I know . . . we're still at Kitty Hawk waiting for a light tailwind . . but ya gotta start somewhere!

btw, excellent post on the Goldman Sachs conflicts over in the other thread!

always brightens my day to see that GS is on the hotseat; Paulson spiked the punch so AIG didn't take down Goldman. Fact.

Abbey Cohen takes her marching orders from Lloyd Blankfine the same way Mark Wienkes did . . Wienkes should be making liscense plates or breaking big rocks into little ones that john can throw at irish next Q (jk)

Agree John,i know you know, and 3Q should be profitable or even at least with 4Q being GAAP positive and back almost to normal for subs, but also SAC and expenses will rise also as Tyler pointed out with ramp up in auto's coming back to normal.
Common sense indeed, but worried a little about last Q with low sac and still only -.01 EPS,should have been even, thought rev was down a little, but we'll see..

P.S.take that back, but for new bond we would have been .01 to.03 GAAP positive EPS,forgot that part, that was my call remember, can't anticapate new bond offering.was 196mil charge..

problem with that theory is that if you wait for the upgrade before you buy-in, you will have already missed the move, imo

Hey, I have 3 of those. Went to an Ivy league, got an MBA and I have a Hummer... + I am a snake-oil salesman.

I prefer not to buy based on analysts expectactions, either before or after an upgrade...
