Insiders have to pre-plan their sales (xxx shares on such-n-such date). Otherwise you have the situation that you are concerned about. And they can get into trouble for insider trading.

right, but when is the plan formulated? I find it interesting to have it coincide with the eve of the CC. So, if it were planned two years ago, ok, that is good. But, if it were planned 6 months ago, that's not cool, as it shows lack of confidence. but, who knows.

I'm still optimistic for SIRI....have a lot of shares, long. I think it will go up after CC tomorrow actually, as I've been saying all along.

I believe these are the "incentive" shares that were issued in lieu of hard-cash bonuses . . they are not recorded as offsetting a tax liability . . those are normally done earlier in the year . . but, in any case, the "disposal" date would have been preplanned . . not a signal telegraphing the cc

Thanks for the info....but I'd love to know how far out they were pre-planned. Ya gotta admit....a pretty weird coincidence to have happened one and two days prior to the CC. just sayin'

Lets give this week long thread a chance.

I recommend clicking on the "User CP" button on the top left of your screen and locating the option for showing 40 posts per page. Then click Settings and option on the left side, and scroll down to Thread Display Options, choose 40 in the pull down.

Also, at the end of the week if you are trying to find a particular post, use the search function to search "within the current thread"

If you are looking for a particular day of the week at the end of the week, then click on page 5, or 10 (if it gets that big) and narrow the days down that way. Each post is dated.

As always I am the voice of reason here... This time is not about SIRI but about the thread.... You obviously picked the wrong week to start the weekly threads again.... 12500 hits with 414 posts and counting ...

intersting vesting schedule....like every two weeks. I've never seen that. Usually they vest annually, or after even 2 or 3 years.

my guess is that it was done that way because these were issued "in lieu" of hard-cash bonuses instead of "in addition" to bonuses

you're right about normal vesting timing . .

if they had allowed that in this case, however, it could have had an adverse effect on SP so they probably spread it out intentionally so as to minimize the impact . . imo only . . dyodd just to be safe . .

but I am taking it as a SP neutral event . .
