Stick with me here while I try to explain myself. I think to the Howard
fans, him not being on the IPhone is no big deal. They already listen/view
him on other avenues. But just possibly all this excitement for the IPhone
app is for people NEW to Sirius radio. The new subs who will be listening
to Sirius for the wide variety of music, the news, sports, whatever. Howard
is an important part of Sirius, but he is not all of Sirius. It's much more
    than that.

Maybe it won't make a difference he's not on there.

Julie, I understand your point about no-HS is not as big a deal as percieved (even to HS fans), and I completely agree with you.

My point: bashers will use the no-HS card, or other negative ideas, whenever they can to prevent even one positive perception when it comes to SIRI. That's their job - bash.

These clowns weren't ready for this positive SIRI report from their own CNBC Silicon Valley bureau chief and they froze. Normally they would have used the no-HS card, or utter other feeble anti-SIRI BS (they tried with "...SIRI is just another .35 stock..." and other disparaging remarks about this being bigger for Apple than SXM), but they couldn't even think to use any of it because they panicked. I believe they are scared of what is coming soon because they are shorting SIRI stock. We'll see.

Also, the portion of today's Fast Money program this video report came from was not included in the replay on CNBC at 8:00 PM PST. They shorted the program to 30 minutes when it normally goes for an hour!! LOL Someone better download that video now before CNBC removes it from their site. UTube anyone?

Tell me someone isn't fearful now.

    Long SIRI

That loss would take a half decade or more to recover from or more likely then not, would never recover at all.
I am going to speculate that all 4 million don't just listen to Howard and ignore the hundred of other SXM channels. I thought the number of subs that make up the listening audience in 4 million. Doesn't mean they subscribe solely for Howard.

The fear is that if Howard left tomorrow all 4 million drop SXM service. I doubt it. There would definitely be some exits, but to say that it would take 5 years to recover the subs lost is IMO short sighted. There is a huge market to go after that doesn't even know who Howard Stern is...

heres the top story on yahoo right now...talking about dj's mention sirius

    http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/get...neers-thennow/
NOW: Flash has travelled a lot of ground since his early '80s heyday. He spent most of the '90s as musical director for Chris Rock's HBO series and found a loyal following in Europe and Asia, where he continues mix for legions of kids who wish they were born in the Bronx (but deep down are glad they weren't). He's also taken to the airwaves with a show on Sirius XM Radio and made himself a legit author with the publication of his memoirs, which he wrote completely in rhyme. Just kidding.
