No one said you can't do it, or that people won't do it. But you are putting a huge amount of stock in this as a huge threat to S-XM, and there are some who respectfully disagree. I stated my reasons why I disagree. Think about the cell phone companies.....as more and more services ride on their network, they need to get paid. Either by the cell customer, or, the services. No free ride. If 3G and future 4G or wiMax see huge explosion of people streaming music, video, etc, they will need to start charging more, throttling use, build more infrastructure (charge even more). Who's gonna pay for that? It will be in their best interest to probably try to shift the cost to the internet radio companies, etc. And they could do it too....simply block access to their website IP addresses unless they fork over some big bucks. That's my point. No free ride. That's when competition starts getting judged by the marketplace on an even playing field. and, now let's talk CONTENT.....![]()
