hey john, tyler said last night that launch is already paid for and wont effect cash flow

I heard that also. The thing is I dont believe it. I have not seen it expensed out yet in any of the 10-Qs yet. I will also say this, homer and I have talked about this and a few others (in a debate about who was better off SIRI or XMSR financially). Now while that was a while ago and since then I have heard XMSR say (in a CC) they are set on their satellites as for being paid for, for several years to come (so I would think that includes the next one that was just pushed back to 3rd or 4th Q of 2010). I have not seen anywhere where SIRI has paid off that kind of an amount. I will also remind you that is was only just 2 quarterly CCs ago that Mel himself had just said that they would be FCF positive EXCEPT for CAPEX cost. Now since then I would like to see where it is shown that SIRIXM has all of a sudden paid that off. I will all so say this while XMSR launched its satellite a year prior, that most of the cost of that was pushed to the 4th quarter of 2007. Most should remember that is why they did not have any FCF positive that quarter while SIRI had 83 million in FCF positive.

hey john just to be clear i heard its the launch due this year that is paid off already. not all the launches. it sounds like the one for next year could be pshed back further.

Thought Sat launch was paid for already.oh,just saw Tripp's post,says it is..and Mel in his own words said they will be FCF pos this year and beyond..

Well that is news to me because I did not heear it , I did not read it when I went through the transcript. So if I take the time to go back through the CC and reread the whole thing again and I dont see it again, I am going to come to your house and personally kill you................Just joking.





















I will send someone else to do it.


P.S. If that where true the PPS is going to sky rocket reguardless if they loss subs or not. Being FCF positive for the year is the most important thing, it is what everyone has been waiting for for years now.

So while XMSR has said that theirs are all paid for, now that they are merged does not mean that they can just take money given to one away and just give it to the other. I maybe missing something here I just dont think so. I do know "homer" would be a better man to answer this question and I think he will say something like I did, I could be wrong though.

interesting.....Mel said they using Sea Launch......XM used them too. So, perhaps Sirius used someone else in the past, but using Seal Launch going forward.

I'll say that also "interesting....." because if that is true then they may very well have that all paid off. It would also explain why I have not seen the payments in the 10-Qs. I like it and basically gets them a delay in having to come up with the extra funds till 2010. Nice one "underway" now that is something I can sink my teeth into, thanks.

Calm down i'm searching.it referenced how no CAPEX till 2015 and it tied it into 2014 hedge fund and having no problems paying it off.Ithink it was relmor or ASM or DEmian posting it during CC..oh my brain is frozen now,i'll look and get it..

If you search the CC transcript, they misspelled Sea Launch....I think it was written 'C Launch'.... morons...LOL!
