    grammar

hope you folks aren't grammar meanies - I actually have to write a lot for my job, so I hate editing posts - I'm a little dyslexic, and I bang away in unix all day.. so im used to lower case, no punctuation! - ie see I should have used "you're" above - or something along those lines.

    Dave -

I am only into the stocks in my signature at this time. I knew that the market was going to be crapola and sure don't expect much out of it. There is just too much news right now. The banks, the stress tests, earnings reports. I am just sitting like a bird on a wire and watching. Until all these issues start sorting out there will be nothing significant happening to the positive side. It would be a good time to take a week off and go on vacation. I am just not agog right now.

I certainly am not going to burn my eyes out watching the computer today.

Talk to you a little later,

    Bill

    Bill--
I read that bankruptcy article, and it was very informative. Thank you.
As for your limit orders... are you putting in a stop-loss limit order? Or a sell-limit order?

I'd hate to put in a sell-limit order and be forced to sell before the price peaks.

    Sell Limit

I am putting in a sell limit for today at .12, just in case it jumps and I am not here. We both know that it probably won't go that high, but just for cautions sake.

    A little later,

    Bill

Hi everyone. Hope you all have a very profitable week.

Bill, why did you choose SSCCQ over SSCJQ?? What are the advantages/ disadvantages?

    Abk

Hey Tripps - I have had that ABK since when we first met on here. I finally couldn't take it anymore and sold it. I don't see a good entry point for it. It is a terrible performing stock. It was good weeks ago but has since lost all steam again.

It used to make runs that were pretty nice, but the stock is a dog now.

If I were going to buy stock today, I would buy OCNF and FREE. They are at a really good entry point. They are dry bulk shipping stocks. Sure they will drop, but you are more than familiar how they gain also. Will they drop more in the next week? I don't have a clue, but you know they always come back up. I know that you are very aware of dry bulk shipping stocks and how they act.

For anybody that doesn't know, just check some charts of DRYS, EGLE, SBLK, OCNF and FREE out and you can get a good handle on what they do. Take a year look back, a 6 month look, a three month look, a month look and work on down from there. You should see some real trends.

    Just my thoughts...(thinking out loud)

    Shots -

Here is a good place to get an understanding of the difference:

    http://www.allbusiness.com/business-...3779142-1.html

I bought SSCCQ for price. SSCJQ is preferred stock. That is higher on the food chain than common stock. In case of a bankruptcy, the list goes like this who gets paid back if at all: creditors, bond holders, preferred stock, then common stock (which SSCCQ is).

So, for a .08 - .09 stock at the time, preferred would be a waste to purchase especially since the company is in Chapter 11 and re-structuring. When I purchased some SSCCQ, I honestly didn't even consider SSCJQ. Common and preferred are two different animals. Preferred stock is not stock price based as a rule and there are many different forms. For trading, common stock is what is needed.

I have a call into Investor Relations at Smurfit right now. When and if they call back I will display all of the results of the call.

Their number is 877-264-9638. Stay on the line as you will eventually get a place to leave a msg. for call back. It takes a while to get there.

    I hope that helps.

    Bill

thx bill i dropped lvlt today cause that seemed like it was it, anyway a decent 30 percent gain, if it falls back into the 70's again i will buy again, i think next cc will be fcf positive for them and that should get the stock moving past a 1.20 but till then the shorts gonna **** it again.
