I'm actually a liberal but agree with your assessment of us liberals to some extent. With that being said, I wholeheartedly disagree that we need more babies on this planet that have no means of survival. Hence pro choice makes more sense than having welfare take care of our youth. Just a thought.

Right now people are waiting years to be able to adopt. There are plenty of people that would be welling to take on that responsiblity. Now as for welfare it has already been proven if you dont want people to be on it then limit it, People will then find work. The proof is welfare reform, what happen is the rate of people on it went way down and they found work. It ended the cycle of cradle to grave welfare.

Take the word conservatism out of the political arena, and it's a known and statistical FACT, that the majority of all Americans are far more conservative in their thinking and everyday life, than they are liberal. Amazing when you take "politics" out of the equation, and apply the true definition of conservative / conservatism...you find that the majority of the American people are actually conservative by nature.

For you liberals out there, don't worry, we conservatives won't ram religion down your throats the same way your liberal court Judges LEGISLATE from the bench on matters such as gay marriage. And don't worry, our schools and our media are doing a fine job programing the majortity of all parents, so that when their 7 yr old asks them a question such as this at a WalMart store for example..."Mommy,why are those two men holding hands and kissing each other"? The parents of today will be equiped to answer with the politically correct answer such as..."Don't worry sweety, those two men are only defying NATURE, but rest assured, not their govt.

I am so glad my kids are all grown. I would hate to have to raise kids in today's world. It wasn't too long ago when mothers giving birth out of wedlock was single digits. YEP. I hear you and agree with welfare reform. I do think the "cradle to the grave" is more a result of poor parenting and lack of education. You can put viable options(adoption) our there but that doesn't do much unless these mothers are willing to break the bond with "their" child. There are too many variables involved with women who have children and whether it's feasible vs realistic for them to choose adoption. So it seems like I will agree to disagree. Kind of like saying b/c we the stock market etc out there that people will invest vs investing in a savings account that earns less than inflation.

Here is common sense;

You can be in favor of abortion and in favor of the death penalty. Reason if you dont care about babies then you should not care about killers.


You can be in favor of the death penalty and against abortion. Reason one has proven himself to be a killer and the other is a innocent.
