OK.. crisis in the house dealt with... need help from anyone that can simplify this for me - I'm looking into doing options...ie. covered calls...

* As of December 5, you own 200 shares of XYZ stock and the current price is $75 per share.
* You see long-term potential in the stock, but expect little movement in the short term.
* You sell (write) two January call options at the $80 strike price for $4.
* If the stock stays below $80 by the January expiration, you keep both your stock position and the $800 from the sale of the option.
* If the stock rises above $80, your shares could be called away, resulting in $1,000 in appreciation of the stock (from $75 to $80) plus the $800 you earned from the sale of the calls.
* If the stock pays a dividend, you'd also continue to receive the dividend for as long as you hold the stock.*

I think we are in for repeat of yesterday. It's going to sit tight all day and short covering will happen at the EOD. The auto recovery plan is staring the shorts down. No way they hold over the weekend. Put in a sell at .52. We might get lucky.

I think it will go up or down depending on the what MM's do. Unless of course, it goes sideways which is always a possibility!

Actually, I still think we get a nice spike UP at the close. Obama is unveiling his auto plan Monday. Shorts WILL cover today or risk being killed in premarket on Monday.

I love the media. I think we are going up next week in the main markets. NOt because of this article, but its hilarious. DOW is up since these comments by the way, I time track it. Not by much though. Edit: Ok its down since these comments now. But my point has been made. Like the market really cares when an obvious statement is made. Really? Tough march? For a bank?
