Long term targets are usually 12 month targets. However, targets are changed as different plateaus are reached. For instance, a 1.25 12 month target can be revised upwards 6 months from now.
Lets assume that in 6 months the stock is at .85. An analyst can give a new 12 month target of 1.50 (as an example) and create a new short term target of 1.25.
It all depends on modeling and auto sales data will change the forecast model significantly over the next few months
My point exactly - and for that matter - is it just me or have about 50% of the newer posters recently seemed to lean toward bashing..... I purposefully LEFT the insanity at the yahoo boards to try and get some actual sensible information and it is starting to appear that they followed me.
SIRI was priced for BK... period. We will go up over the mid-term. Short term there will be up/down on the charts as it normalizes and establishes another base before more news.....
Yes there is manipulation - but behind it there is an overall trend you can see if you look closely enough. I absolutely can't stand all the shorters/bashers - I canNOT wait til uptick is reinstated. I hope every one of those bastards loses their life's savings the way they've caused honest retail investors to lose theirs by pushing the markets down and benefitting from it. Forgive me while I go bang my head against a wall like Glenn Beck.....
Well my background is in technology and I can assure you that no company owning satellites is in trouble. If nothing else SIRI could become a contractor for an array of users including DOD. They will be fine...just a transition phase. You have to think further than what is apparent to the general public.
well it's 1500 and I don't see any big market wide short squishing.
Koop, I dont know about if you have a margin account. I do know about them not being able to just lend out your shares if you are not on a margin account because I called both about just that to make sure they could not lend out my shares. Etrade said we dont do that without asking first and Scottrade said that they dont do it period, after that I did not even bother calling Fidelity. I will say this if you are only selling a 1/3 of your shares then you are good to go for at least 3 times. I'll say it one more time the warning they give you is meaningless as long as you have others shares. As an example; If i have 100,000 shares and I sell 20,000 of them then buy 20,000 back and then sell 20,000 they will sent you a alert it means nothing because once they check your account they will see you had other shares that were settled. I do have personal knowledge on this one because I did it and called them when I got the notice and explained to them they looked at the account and said dont worry about it.

Sort of like predicting rain in Northern Gulf of Mexico...it might rain but probably not so bring an umbrella just in case but probably will not need it.
