Alright I have to ask,

Obviously the blue dog has some sort of power that can not be explained. I know he stems from SA, but what's the deal with him?

How did he come about, he appears to have taken this board by storm, like Jesus did to the Christians, lol.

Does he have some semblance to the Sirius Dog Logo? Or is he his own entity?

Never underestimate the power of the blue dog. He is our standard bearer in each battle up the hill.....

The Blue Dog (kept by Killer) is the spirit the embodies everything that is SiriusXM and the SiriusXM Dog. Killer keeps the dog well fed with T-Bones, teeth sharpened on carcass bones of shorts, makes certain of a nice shiny coat of fur, and basically always has him ready to run once he removes his leash. Just like today...thanks Killer!

otone, Thats nothing wait til they start using your exact words or sentences. I am not talking about the ones like homer or some others I am talking about the ones that say they cant stand me or that I dont know what I am talking about. It is amazing to see the same thing said by them as I just said a while ago. You can only laugh at it all because really it is funny.

Advice for tomorrow: Have faith - look at your position - and keep calm.

What the shorts will (tomorrow and always) want you to do is panic sell tomorrow.

I'm probably the newest senior member on this board - and the one thing I've learned is that a good strategy and steady nerves will win out in the end. Not panic selling...

Use your heads - watch the charts... listen to what they tell you... Do not trade purely on adrenaline or emotion. Stay steady in the storm.

There's nothing wrong with putting in stops - and taking a small profit to cover your initial investment or just to help settle your nerves... & whatever you do - I don't think it's time to get out yet. SIRI is going to test you. It has tested all of us to date.

I have sold NOTHING to date since I got in at .13... but I completely respect those that have averaged down and blocked their sells - because they have a plan and a goal.

That said - I have a strategy ... and everyone will have a different one. Mine is simply pull out the initial investment I put into SIRI and let the rest ride... I'm looking for my core to stay for at LEAST a year or more.... pending R/S (which I think will not happen)

And last thing - if you get a case of the nerves (in the army we call it shell shock) calmly ask advice in here ... don't even bother asking on the other boards... or you may inadvertantly get info from a disguised short covering basher idiot.....

Follow the blue dog and tomorrow will be good.....

“This is bigger than just one rule, however influential that rule is,” Sen. Kaufman said. “Markets all over the world continue to tumble because average investors have lost confidence that the markets work for them. Piece by piece, we must restore that faith. One important step is instituting sensible regulations. In this case – enacting a proven, time-tested rule – it’s an easy call.”

Sen. Kaufman was joined by Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-GA) in introducing the legislation, which directs the SEC to write regulations within 60 days that accomplishes five things to end abusive short selling:

(1) reinstate the substance of the uptick rule that prohibited short sales that are not made on an increase in the price of the stock; this prevents short sellers from piling on a declining stock, driving prices down.

(2) require exchanges and other trading venues to execute the trades of long sellers ahead of short sellers, all other things being equal.

(3) with the concurrence of the Secretary of the Treasury and the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, prohibit short sales of the securities of any financial institution unless that trade is affected at a price (in minimum lots specified by the Commission) at least 5¢ higher than the immediately preceding transaction in such securities. Our financial sector, and financial stocks, are in a fragile state – and our taxpayers now hold substantial shares of many institutions. If the Treasury and Fed believe they need additional protection in these times, this legislation permits it.

(4) prohibit any person from selling securities short unless that person has at the time of the short sale a demonstrable legally enforceable right to deliver the securities at the required delivery date. Under current law, many short sellers fail to deliver – we must tighten up the rules.

(5) require that all short sales settle on the same time frame employed for long sales of the same securities. There is no reason short sellers should have 13 days to deliver shares when long sellers have only three days.
