    Did you see this relmor?

    http://www.newsday.com/news/local/po...,5556900.story

Government is planning on taxing AIG bonuses to the tune of... 100%! This is just getting out of hand... as much as I hate bailouts, I hate the idea of the government actively "witch-hunting" companies like they are right now... the feds are WAAAY too powerful to have these kinds of agendas...

Sorry for more AIG news, I figure the intra-day market is closed now!

Relmor2003: Take a look at my post to you from this morning on the other thread.

I believe that the market is starting to understand that this is a whole new company going foward from the day that Malone closed the deal with Mel. Nothing else matters and I don't think that Malone will convert anytime soon either. The stock price will continue to grow, my guess is that over the next year we will see $1.50 and we could be north of that.

I also think that the first quarter numbers will surprise, I'm looking at 150,000 net additions and enhanced synergy's.

I'm also anxious to see how many new subscribers will be re ups from the two week trial period and their progress on the used car front.

Clearly the best is yet to come and we will be over one buck before the end of the year.

This is kind of a funny issue. I am actually very anti governemnt involvment, usually....BUTTTTT
If your going to take government money, than your subject to government condition(new or old). Since taxpayers want this, there is nothing they can do about it. They have PR on their side, and its the moral choice. Go Obama(whom I do not like normally, nor does this change my view). Since the company doesnt exist today without that money, the government can tell them what to do with it.
If you want to be sick, you know those margins calls you got when Sirius went from 3 dollars to under $2? Thats where the AIG money went, to pay off bets they could never win, to banks. Banks made that money basically. So why do execs who overleveraged, and put their company in this problem deserve $1 of bonus money. I could care less what those contracts say. Those contracts became irrelevant the second they went under(well, the Government bailed them out, so consider AIG a failed business model).

That's a good question. I just managed to free up a few thousand bucks and placed the funds in my Scottrade account late yesterday. I thought I'd be buying around .26 and .28, but was hoping for a slight down tick to say .23 and then buy there. May never see the low .20's again at this rate, though not complaining too loudly, since it's about time we see this puppy grow a few legs.

I may just go the way of cost averaging for a while, which is buy within a day or two of having the funds. I've already got more than my share of migraines with this stock over the yrs, so I think I'll just accumulate as we ride up to say a buck, and then maybe rethink startegy at that point.

The only thing I can fathom from today's action is that it had to do with the Apple conference. Perhaps in a twist of irony, it was not so much what was announced that spurred Sirius but rather what was not announced.

There was some mention of a new stereo bluetooth headset available, but nothing else. No indication that the company would focus on mobile applications that would compete with SatRad. Nothing that would compete with Sirius XM at all for that matter.

There was a question asked if the bluetooth headset would allow the transfer of audio files, and the company after a pause responded that it could not be done. Maybe, just maybe...
