You can't buy at .1901, .1908 on Etrade unless you put in a bid at .20 and you could get screwed. I have to wait for it to be at .19 or under with a bid at .19 because Etrade won't let me buy in more than 2 decimals. It's so frustrating - they only allow this for OTC stocks. I know if it's trading low .19's and a put a market order, its also going to be a screw job and could wind up buying at any price knowing these MM's (market manipulators)

SXM....I use Etrade as well and the 2 decimal thing drives me crazy. It may cause me to switch, but there are things about Etrade that I do like....

SCOTTRADE is the best and only 7.00 per trade and allows 4 decimal trades. I think they give free trades when you transfer an account.

Wink The .20 milestone will be history soon

Were gonna blast through that 20 cent ceiling soon. Its a confidence issue like the rest of wall street.

Look, we all know SIRIUS / XM is the way of the future. The .20 barrier will be history soon.

I wonder if in 1876 when Alexander Bell invented the telephone, people were are all doubting whether the telephone is gonna catch on or not.

Nobody in their right mind is gonna want to go back to FM radio when they have had their taste of SIRIUS /XM. Has anyone here been to a Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep car dealer lately to see SIRIUS Backseat TV installed in a new SUV. It is awesome! Heres a link, check it out:
    http://www.sirius.com/backseattv

SIRI share price will come back. Dont even think of selling at 20 cents. No one is getting my shares at a mere 20 cents.

Hang in there, we are going to do well. Load up on it while its sooo cheap.

at 10.00 a trade ameritrade lets me get level 2 and .0000 trade abibity. help me to understand why people stay with there firms when they only trade to 2 .s . i'm new but you whine about trades to 2d. but you won't do anything about it...i'm not married to ameritrade, and im very open to a better company... but what TF... if i had all these things i didnt like about a company , and all i had to do was to take this part of my investments out from wherever, and the problem would seem to be solved... what... help me to understand why is this so hard , i vam a bottom feeder... i live by what you guys say and i am unable to let this statement compute... help... i respect all coments, and political opinions...but to stay with a company that appears to screw you at every trade... why stay???

With Etrade, I can trade in Pre and After market. Siri is the first "penny" stock I have traded, so I never ran into this problem in the past.

How difficult or easy is it to transer all my stocks a $$ to another online broker?

For some of you long time users of Ameritrade, how long does it take for your electronic transfers to clear? My etrade account clears me for immediate availability. I can do a transfer and 30 seconds later make a buy. Was very nice during this latest runup from .13s.
Personally, limiting me to two decimal places hasn't really hurt me, although I can't put a limit order in and forget it. I'll have to keep an eye on the action and when the price hits in the area I want, I put in an order. So far I haven't been "screwed", but having the capability to go out 4 places would be convenient.

I have Etrade as well. Bought 13K shares the other day at .1453. Bid/Ask was .1450/.1454. I put a limit order in at .15. It was immidiately filled at .1453. I do not believe that you can use a market order with etrade on penny stocks. Could be wrong! Use limit order and it should execute at or below your limit price!
