Overall, the conference call gave a time for the release of Iphone and Ipod adds, major points I was looking for. Im glad they gave guidance for EBITA, but no other guidance. Thats not good. In fact, thats terrible. Overall, after the presentation, Id say the CC went somewhat neutral to negative. Dodged questions, didnt talk about as much as Id like. Not confident about jumping in here. Holding 3/4 position now, and wondering if there will be a pullback.
Back to 3/4 position on lack of guidance. Waiting to see how the media and market will take this news.

    Rel,

Overall pretty good. Got a little hairy when Frear piped up about "no guidance for this year or any other year".. he mispoke there and didn't realize it and it was the biggest gaff of the call. I don't call it a dealbreaker though...

And Mel saved with the "over 300M EBITDA" bit on that other guy. He seemed cool with that.

I don't know. I would say more like neutral to slightly positive (sans the Frear gaff). At the end, Mel tried a little positive spin recap but missed a good opp to leave on the best notes. That App would have been one. I think my take yesterday wasn't far off. I wasn't really expecting a huge pop here ..just a hold. I think they got that done. We should at least inhabit the .16's with this..a move up from the .15's. Then it will be up to new money making decisions to say "this company is here to stay now and I think the SP is too low and I can make some money here." That along with maybe a a rally on teh general market and we could realize .20's very soon...I at least envision some shorts giving up right here...just not enough imminent downside risk anymore...

I'm hoping we get more consolidation at this level for a bump later in the day or tomorrow..... Alot really depends on how the market absorbs the info gleaned from the CC.....

I fall back to some of what I said previously - someone needs to teach MEL how to present things better - he historically isn't great with CC's ...

I have to wonder about the NiceMac folks right here. You mean to tell me they had no clue SIRI was working on their own app?? If that's true I'd say someone on their team dropped a ball...
