    MYdogniles...

without the big quote, you mentioned new revenue streams. Like Nicemacs iPhone app? I have been hammering away at sirius for YEARS to do something with the internet because people at work can in many instances ONLY listen via the net.

As for the rest, see this article I wrote:

i remember reading this and thought it was great. however, don't you think siri is getting ready to release an iphone app? again, this comment is just another example of how you appear to over react. just because they killed nicemac doesn't mean their giving up on iphone integration. i think most believe that siri is working on its iphone app. how about liberty ceo comments today...free sat radio with up sell for premium. very cool idea. in addition to you ideas, we've all heard dozens of other great ideas. do you really think mel is not evaluating all sorts of go forward strategies? i'm sure he is...he's no dope...but what space has he had to operate since the merger...NONE. The liberty deal stinks on paper, but what it does is give siri a chance to PERFORM...not just survive. i'm very confidant that we will see some exciting stuff coming out over the next couple months that hopefully restore your faith, and the market's faith too. this company is not going in the wrong direction brandon, it's now just starting to go in a positive direction.

    Not I-phone...........I-POD....

They are developing the tech for the portable player markets. They will be able to use it in anything actually.

But I would not expect a release for some time. Maybe before Xmas.

    Current marketing

There is some marketing going on: current AAA magazine Savings column has a Sirius promotion offer. And Sirius website sends e-mail offers - went there to get Met Opera schedule, so they know where to find me.

And while I'm posting, thanks to Brandon, Tyler and the rest of the SA/SBz regulars. As long time student of the market, I've appreciated your additional insights into stock movements, etc.

Forward strategies? It has been 3 years and we are still using the same crappy internet player.

Could things get better? Could there be plans? Sure but, after years of nothing, what makes you think that is all about to happen now? There is absolutely no excuse why they did not have an iphone app ready the day the app store opened. There is no excuse as to why we should be using an outdated web player that doesn't even run in modern browsers. There is no excuse as to why the stiletto is the sexiest piece of hardware they could come up with. There is no excuse why their marketing (especially online) SUCKS. There is no reason why they arent blogging, running online contests, facebooking, and twittering. There is no reason why they should have blocked the nicemac app before their own in house app was ready.

If you think this company is doing well then go ask your nieces, nephews, sons, daughters, or just some random punk kids on the street if they know or give a shit about Sirius XM satellite radio. Then you will have your answer. Because those same kids are the reason Apples' company is where it is today. Those same kids are the reason people wear white ear buds like they are a ****ing platinum necklace. They are also the reason that stock went from $15 to $200 and the same reason SIRI is going to hang under .20.

OK. I have several critical posts to address.

I am negative because of todays report. Spin it anyway you want, its bad.

I have never worked for sirius. I think they could do a better job. I am pissed because this product is so good. How many remember Joe Clayton? I used to call him dilution Joe. He would issue 500 million new shares and state that they would not issue anymore, only to issue another 500 million 2 weeks later. The interesting thing about Dilution Joe was that every time he diluted the stock, he signed a mega deal like Howard or the NFL, and he promoted the product afterwards. He created a craze. He created the product. Enter the dealmaker, Mel Karmazin. All advertising ceased. Retail subs began to plummet. New radios stopped being introduced. Did anyone bother to check the Mirge radio thread I put up. I think its had 2 whole views for all you retail people out there.

I'm disgusted at this point. I see it slipping because I have followed it longer than Mel himself. I DO KNOW BETTER THAN MEL. I'm sick of deals. I'm sick of future profitability. This company should be a media powerhouse and its turning into crap. I'm not interested in what a Liberty deal might mean to the company in 2010. I don't care about an apple deal if one existed that wont bring results until 2012. I want them to look down at there shoes and see where it is they are NOW. Focus on NOW. How to make it work NOW! It can be done and it should be done, but for reasons known only to the Lord above, NOTHING is being done.

I don't get all the negativity from some of you! We all know the issues there are with subscriber growth....you yourself were writing about it over the past few months Brandon! othing has changed more than the financial climate itself, which has impacted almost EVERY single company out there save Walmart in a very negative way. I expect revenue at Walmart to grow...because even the folks who hate shopping there....will now go for the bargain prices they offer with the economy the way it is. I'll say it again, Liberty knew what they were getting.....and they didn't base their investment and subsequent receipt of those covertible shares on SIRIUS failing. They will be critical to growing subs and they have their hands full....but I think they have a strategy already based on Maffei's comments in the interview...that was no accident when he spoke about offering some free channels to hook people into buyin g the premium content. I am much more confident with them involved...and I will say again...for Liberty Capital stock to move up.....one of the things that has to happen is for SIRIUS to continue to grow and become cash flow positive.....otherwise that 40% stake is going to drag Liberty into the gutter with it....they admittedly already see other businesses underperforming....I don't see why they would have set themselves up to watch it fail and have egg all over their faces. They have the combination of businesses they can leverage to pump Sirius in more ways than one !

    Well said Charles...

As a stock trader, I don't trade hope. I can't price it! I can't sell it for more then I paid for it.

All we have had is hope for sirius. I bought hope seven times.

My hope bucket fell over tonight after the report, and that's that.

    Sold hope once.

Charles...I think this is a historic moment, worthy of note! This is the first time we've ever agreed on anything!
